Default Windshield wiper fluid ???!!!!

Hello everyone --

Hubby put the windshield wiper fluid, but its not working. I remember reading somewhere on this forum that there was a glitch or something. At any rate, does anybody know how to fix this problem? My windshield is filthy lol

Can't help you with your question... but paper towels and some window cleaner will take care of your dirty windshield. Just kidding, couldn't pass that one up.:wink::wink:

You might do a search in the tech forum.

LOL cute

Hubby put the fluid in but it came out, dripping on the bottom.

We wash her regularly, but after being on the highway, it's kida hard to stop on the median and whip out my windex and paper towel , to get all the bugs off.

The dripping is "normal". That's an overflow and it was designed like that. A lot of folks don't like it but oh well. When it's full it vents.

I didn't find anything on this forum, but have you:

a) Listen with the hood up while activating the washer? Hear a pump running at all?

b) If you DO hear pumping sound, but no fluid comes out, try a small pin or needle in the squirter hole, perhaps they are blocked by some debris?

c) Hold a finger over each squirter while activating the washer. This has sometimes helped me restore the pump's "prime" on other vehicles I've had.

d) I haven't looked, but is there a washer motor fuse listed in the owner's manual? If so, have you checked it?

e) Beyond that, I guess a trip to dealer is needed.

Luck!

Well, we went through the manual -- doesnt say anything except where to pour the fluid in.

Any ideas anyone? The fluid wont "grab" and stay where it's supposed to
