De-badge.

Seriously though, let's all stop for a second:
Who makes the V41 (early 2000's) Nissan Quest? Ford.
Who makes the Mazda B-Series pickups? Ford.
Who makes the Mitsubishi trucks? Dodge.
Who makes the Suzuki Equator? Nissan.
The Mini is a British legend, built by BMW. The SLS AMG is a pirated blueprint of what would have been the next-generation Viper. The Mercedes M-class is a Jeep Cherokee with the Benz-tax. The 300C is a Detroit flavored E-class.
I have no shame in telling them I drive a Chrysler. I de-badge because I hate waxing obstacles. The SRT will go under the dental floss soon... even the SRT logo.
To wit, I removed a very subtle AMG sticker from my SRT the week I bought it. While my car is powered by AMG, and is very fast as a result of their engineering, I have no desire to confuse the onlookers more than they already are. People who are interested in the Crossfire already know the secret by now... no need for me to explain it to them. If, in seven years of public availability, they aren't aware of the origins, they likely don't care anyways.
The true story is told at the car shows, when the Mercs and Chryslers are parked side-by-side and the crowd is surrounding one, not the other... and they take note of the two being powered by the same powerplant
Respectfully,
--John

For me it wasn't enough to simply de-badge, I had to go one step further and re-badge my car.

It wasn't because I was not proud of my cars heritage, or that I had any problems with how great it looked when it was completely stock. No, I simply wanted to make it my own.
The changes I made to my car reflect what the Crossfire really is to me. Some people get it, some don't. But since there are so many people that still don't have a clue what a Crossfire really is, I have a blast keeping em guessing.
I think it would be really cool if Mad_Med had Karl (SRT SIX) come up with some sort of carbon fiber emblem that said "C.F. EDITION" or "ULTRA LIGHT Package" for everybody who purchased his carbon fiber hood. Most people would automatically think it was a "Factory" option.

Re: De-badge.
I think debadging is stupid. I said it before and I will say it again. Why ruin such a beautiful car? The only people that debadge cars are people that drive ricers. They think it is cool to hide what kind of car they have. This has been going on for decades.... We laughed at these clowns back in the 80's and we are still laughing at them now.

Kinda wondered if they got a free plastic surgery coupon to have the end of the nose tweaked up with their purchase..

The comments posted here bring to mind the Euro AutoFest car show last October hosted by BMW Manufactruing in Upstate SC. Allen & I brought our XFires to the event and were parked on the end of the M-B row. The Planning Committee for the event had a distinct banner for our location. Anyway, there were countless people looking at our cars and wondering why we were there. I even heard coments from folks I passed while initially driving on the showfield. It just goes to show you the lack of overall knowledge people in general have when it comes to the XFire and its roots.
I had Merkur XR4Ti's (three) before the XFire urge hit me. Same issue. High performance German Ford marketed by an inept Mercury dealer chain. But for those of us that modded our XR4Ti's to the tune of 400-hp at the rear wheels, people took notice! I'll never forget the looks on folks faces whenever a modded XR4Ti did a dyno run at Carlisle's All-Ford Nationals and showed 400+ hp at the rear wheels! And this coming from a 2.3 liter turbo motor. Owner's of V-8's nearly wet their pants!
FYI - MCA (Merkur Club of America) has owners that are just as enthusiastic about the XR4Ti's & Scorpios as we are about our XFires. In fact, at one point, MCA took home the Club Trophy given out by Carlisle 9 of 10 years during a stretch back in the 90's. Most we ever had attend Carlisle were 260+ Merkurs! (Note: XFires have a way to go to match that enthusiasm!) The year MCA didn't get the trophy, it went to the Ford Fairlane owners and they held a national GTG at Carlisle to take it away from us. And we lost by only 2 cars!!
This is sorta like deja vu for me. Merkurs were sold here for 5 years (85 - 89). XFires were sold from (04 - 08). Seems I can't get away from getting passionate about limited production run performance cars!

Re: De-badge.
The first thing I did when I got my SRT was to remove the eight SRT6 stickers that covered the Chrysler logos on the car and fob. It just is not my kind of thing. It's a Chrysler and I don't mind at all. I also removed other decals, the original CF club (2), a filter makers decal, a NeedsWings decal, a total of twelve. I have one more to go, I missed it when I had the heat gun outside. If someone likes them and sticks them on their car, I don't care.
I'm going to remove the NeedsWings CAI for a while at least, I like the look of the OEM intake, again, that's just me, anyone else can do what they like. But if you ask me if I like it, don't be offended when I say 'not a bit'. LOL
There are some nice mods being done and I like them, but stickies?
Each to their own I guess.
