First of all give me a break :roll: I was riding with my g/f on our way up to lake erie. All of a sudden a red crossfire flies up behind us. A little while later he decides to "fly" around us too. I was like ok ...Whatever, then we parked in a vacant parking lot near a subway resteraunt to wait for a friend who was on his way also. All of a sudden the red crossfire is back and zooming around the vacant parking lot trying to peel out :roll: For about 15-20 minutes we watch this loser "race" around the street that was in front of us. After meeting up with our friend we left the parking lot and guess who! The loser in the red crossfire yet again. So this time i laughed at him when he pulled up next to us and my g/f reved at him with her stock civic. Obviously his ego was in grave danger, he then sped off again. Way to go buddy.

Your lucky i wasnt in my car. You were just looking for trouble. And trust me, i would have given you a spanking that would really kill your ego. Your $30k ego. and yes, this is a call out.

I really hope this isnt the type of people that represent the crossfire community.

Yes it was wrong of the Xfire owner to do this... but why was he targeting you? did you initate this? ... cuz why would he wait for you to get back in your car just to zoom around you more... that makes almost 0 sense...

you better have something that can handle... cuz that Xfire will lose any big block in some turns...

I haven't seen another XF on the road in the UK yet, so I can't comment on how the others actually drive or behave.

I haven't had any problems with a 350z or the odd M3 or TT, but you get the berk in a Vectra or Mondeo who wants to race. I just let them get on with it. Once they have zoomed off, I can speed up and follow at a safe distance, knowing that they will need to brake if they spot a police car. My own early warning system...

I don't feel like I have to prove anything - there are faster cars than the XF and if I'd wanted a different car I would have bought one. My XF makes me feel great whether I'm going slowly or at speed.

its not a 3.5. it's a supercharged and intercooled 3.8 and it's not stock.......some people know how to turn a wrench.:roll: And again, you paid 35grand for your Xfire, did mommy and daddy buy it? i highly doubt you would even beat my car autoXing......and my suspension is completely stock. I think I speak for a lot of us when I say that we didn't buy our Crossfires because we thought they were street rods. If I wanted the ultimate performance machine for what I paid for my Crossfire, I would have bought a Mistsubishi Evolution 8, which outruns and out handles everything else under $35,000, and a lot of cars over $35,000.

We bought our Crossfires because they are drop dead sexy, fun to drive and have a lot of luxury components.

Yes, the driver of the red crossfire that was looking for a race doesn't seem much better than the ricer boys I see tearing through traffic, but that's no reason to come here and insult us.
