I just went out to see exactly how I do it becase it is one fast efforless move for me...

Here goes broken down:

1. open the door

2. stick your left foot on the ground outside, yes you will spin a little to do this you will actual be facing the drivers side front corner of the car.

3. Now spin more to get your right foot out (i touch the outside left of the steering wheel to help pivot)

4. When getting the right foot out you will lean foward which slides you closer to the outside of the car (you could basically pause there, it looks lke you are sitting down and are reading a book in your lap). If anything start in this position so you can see what the goal is.

5. Since your center of gravity is now over your feet you should be able to stand up using only your two legs and not grabing for anything.

In the end it looks like you just spin out sidways and stand straight up.

Getting in is another story.... I put my foot as close to the gas pedal as possible and squat down in (note i never touch anything on my car to get in except the door handle to open up the car).

I hope my earlier comments were not taken as a criticism against "nnyan". I agree with him on the issue of this being a forum for discussion and mutual infatuation with the Crossfire and I'm pretty sure that even "nnyan" loves his. I wish people didn't feel the need to attack others for their opinions or mistakes. In general I think this is a great place to meet and discuss this car. Just giving my twenty cents worth(inflation you know  )

It takes only 10 Crossfire owners to get a group buy. I tried it before 6 months ago but we can't get the 10 interested members. Maybe now that the CF sales has increased, there maybe a few of us here who would want these doors in their Crossfires

But that was from the company with bad quality - I even emailed them and the only reason they did not make it was because not enough crossfire owners had contacted them...

Someone was looking into a high quality company but we never heard anything back...

How are radio control on the steering wheel bad? That is what I miss most......not because of a reach problem but because of having to look for the radio presets.

usually the radio is the first thing new owners toss out the window... the control in the steering wheel is not compatible with the aftermarket players and when yours breaks it is cheaper to buy a third party one that works better with moe features than it is to buy the one that came with the car...

True.......but the 240 watt Infinity player is pretty descent. I'd be 100% happy with that radio and controls. I just like one hand on the wheel and one on the shifter and eyes on the road.

I actually live in Davis but my GF lives in Sac (near the tower theatre). I'm going to try that method of getting out of the car see if that helps.

So far no issues with the crossfire (and yes I DO love my crossfire) except that for some weird reason my hatch doesn't want to fully "lock" (its closed and locked but its not firmly closed and it rattles when you drive over bumps). I tried fiddling with the latch but no go so I'll be taking it to the dealer tomorrow .

I think there's a TSB for that somewhere floating around here. If you're still on check out the TSB board and see if you can find it before going to the dealer.

Can you post a message about how that goes? My one-month old vehicle has some noise in that area too. I had the service department look for a rattle in the "trunk area" but they said they couldn't detect one. I could swear it sounds like it's coming from the latch. I'm curious to know what they find on yours.

I think this problem has been mentioned before. Open the boot/trunk and you should see on the lid two rubber gromets, one in each corner. You can twist these to move them in/out to then get a better fit when you close the lid.

As far as things I'd like to see changed: The seats don't have lumbar support. I have a bad back and this is really annoying.

I have to say that I'm with TNT. It IS hard to get out of the car and I'm only 5'6". Since I have to move the seat up to get to the pedals, I can't squeeze between the door and steering wheel to get out.

The most awesome would be if the seat would move back automatically.

Cupholder is a pain too, but I just don't use it.

I was cautious with the cup holder after reading these forums, but I find mine fine, so long as the cup / bottle is made of some strong stuff so it doesn't break easy. It is badly positioned though, but as mine is an auto I don't find it too much of a problem.

I clip my cell phone to the front of the cup holder. That's the best use for it that I can think of. There's a pic in my album.

This is a thank you to drunkiq. I was evidently adjusting my mirrors a" bit" too tight. I followed your directions and then headed out to the dreaded So Cal freeway. It actually has given me so much visibility I'll need to get used to it. I can see cars all over the place. Thank you, thank you so very much. I love this forum and all of you knowledgable guys. I don't stop and thank each of you everytime I learn something---think I'll have to start. Boy will I be busy. Happy motoring!!!
