Isn't there and old saying.. "No such thing as a free lunch".. Mrmopar on here has started collecting cars to part out. Drilling and tapping the original holes might be "cost effective" on an extra set of hubs..

say 75$ each for the front hubs and the rear axles. 300$ then maybe 1 hr each to machine and tapout new holes. 400$ then another 75$ for the new lugbolts and 200$ for 2 set of spacers
total 975$ for brabus wheels which are boat heavy. not really cost effective but just my .02

Then again a decent skill level could lower the cost even further..

VWVortex.com - *DIY hub drilling from 4X100 to 5X100 PCD**

Well the wheels are free, but I have no equipment, garage, or knowledge how to do this.

So can anyone else chime in, is it 100% for sure these won't work?

i think ill stay with my machinist. he takes the time to do it correctly. when it comes to suspension and rotating assemblys i dont want a rush job that will fail down the road.
mayaman theres really only one way to know what your getting into. try the wheels and take some measurments. lugbolt will tell you in a matter of seconds. after all they are free. if they dont fit sell them on craigslist

This is a piece of crap. These holes need to be accurately drilled square to the axis. The threads need to be square to the axis. The position needs to be accurate, this cannot be done with a crap fixture like that.

If the conical or dome seats cannot align to the bolts then stresses will occur and the seats will be wrecked.

As I said before they have to done accurately on a mill of some type after locating the center.

If your buddy is alright with it, I would sell them on eBay if you can't make them work. I am sure they are worth a pretty penny. For the time and money you will spend, I would buy a nice pair of knock-off AMG rims that will be plug and play onto your car.

Oh I won't argue the point you'd have to be damn lucky or steady enough to shoot the wings off a fly at 200 yrds to use a template and hand drill..but progressively drilling out the threads and opening to final size for tapping with the existing hole wouldn't require the ability to walk on water with it. You really want it right.. then just send them back to the mother ship along with a blank check.

Or one might take the more logical approach (and I know 32Krazy..not on your car)...

Variation Bolt AKA Wobble Bolt Bolt for PCD Variation
Hex17 M12 x 1.25 x 29.5
With this new item you can use one wheel with unified center bore for several applications. This bolt is fitted with a mobile conical washer which keeps the bolt axis perpendicular to the car flange while allowing radial displacement and a consequent PCD variation.
Set of 16 - $64.00 Set of 20 - $80.00

Hub Adapters and Spacers

New I could count on you to confirm.. You bet I would..then if they failed I'd have my own company since the xfire is so crash survivable.

you sir are an idiot. if you dont think the the forces applied at speeds the n/a crossfire can run would cause havock with those foolish bolts you are also a fool. run whatever you want with your homemade jigs and crooked wobble bolts. at least your far enough away to have no impact on me when you crash and burn

Well since you want to go with personal attacks.. I have no use or desire to associate with a MERCEDES SNOB... so I would say It shouldn't be a problem for either one of us.
