New member of the permagrin club
Hello all! I just tonight signed the papers on a 2006 Crossfire with 18.5k on the clock. I already learned so much from this site in doing research on the car so I have to give you my thanks! Luckily the one I bought already has the useless cupholder replaced with a storage bin (although that may have been the default option since it's a base model). As soon as I drove the car I knew I had to have it. 6 speed with low miles and is practically a brand new car for a very reasonable price! I'm sure I'll have some annoying questions as time goes on, but for now I just wanted to say hello and thank you guys for building a great community around a fantastic car!
Cheers!

I paid asking price of $13988. I could have haggled some but felt the deal was good enough as it was. I also ponied up and extra $2k for a 3 year 48,000 mile warranty I hope to never need. So all in all I probably paid a little too much but I think it was well worth it.

Congrats man! To be honest I've owned several bimmers, a 993, 968, an my current S2 cab and I love the Xfire best of all. Its not as exciting to drive but overall its my fav car ever. The looks and comments I get from other drivers here in Greenwich is priceless.

welcome aboard....enjoy your new ride....plenty of reading on here that will help you, but it sounds as if it has already paid off. Glad the prices are moving up a little. That isn't all bad for the future. It should stay in that range for awhile I would think. But, hey, it's a sports car and it is fun, that is what counts.

Thanks for the warm welcome!
I definitely could have paid less, but I still feel like I got a great value for my money and don't regret it one bit! Honestly, I had all but forgotten Crossfires even existed during my car search until I randomly happened across a different 2006 with under 50k miles in my area for just under $12k and decided to start doing some research. After reading a lot on this forum as well as other resources I decided it was definitely the car for me and went about finding the best one in my price range in my area. Even though some options like heated leather and a bit nicer sound system would be nice, I think I actually prefer the total black color scheme of the base model personally.
