Default Chrysler dealership

I wrecked my car about a month and a half ago and it had a good bit of body damage but wasnt totaled and insurance paid out for it to be fixed. It was at a body shop getting put back together and it had to be taken to chrysler to have a module replaced. This is supposed to take a day and ended up taking a week. So finally the body shop got it back today and found glass in the passenger side they called chrysler and asked what that was from and chrysler lied and lied and eventually told them that they had broke the passenger side window. But they had replaced it which is why it took so long. But instead of using good glass they replaced it with awful glass that shattered as soon as the window rolled down and scratched the paint all up on my door. I will not be taking it to a chrysler dealership for anything ever again if i can help it.

Wow that sucks. Bad stealerships will get you every time. On the bright side, it sounds like you got a very persistent and intelligent body shop to do the work! that's always good!

Isn't anything done at a dealership under some kind of a warranty? I wouldn't stop complaining until it was fixed right.

Well my passenger door was ruined during the wreck but luckily the bodyshop still had it and the window inside it was unbroken so they used that. And the body shop is just gonna sand and paint again, but yes they are making the dealership pay for it.

Please call Chrysler Corporation about what happen at that dealership. The report will be on file if something else happens that you have not discovered. There work is covered, by Chrysler. Let them know.

Every time I do this, the manufacturer tells me that dealer issues are dealer issues, and their contract does not allow them to dictate. E.g., Mercury dealer wanted to charge $750 to install a WEGR valve saying that they had to take off almost the entire top half of the engine. I said no, and researched it. $65 part on the firewall with direct access, two plug in vacuum lines and an electrical plug. Truly a four minute fix. Autozone (where I bought part) then flashed the computer for free and the check engine light disappeared. Ford's reaction: No harm, no foul, and anyway, the dealer sets their prices. They had no comprehension of the brand injury this type of action causes.

Finally got the car back yesterday and i go to plug my head unit in and i realize the plug thing is in UPSIDE DOWN. The dealership put it in upside down. So i go to freemans audio to get it fixed and they tell me the whole unit is busted because someone tried to get it out without the proper tool. $205 bill for chrysler to replace it. I have never heard of service that bad before.

Broken window. Stereo out and back in wrong. Bad unit. Reading between the lines it sounds to me like your car was broken into on thier lot, and the head unit was stolen. You might even have a bad unit that was laying around from an earlier removal. Bad beat all around.

Incidentally, I sometimes sit as the judicial officer on small claims matters. When things like this come before some of us with the service company tryiing to hide the ball on the consumer, we can go through the roof and even assure that you are made whole for all the trouble as well as the financial loss.

I with you on this one. Smash and grab... I can't understand why a dealership wouldn't own up to that, since they would be insured for this, although they tell you they aren't responsible for that kind of thing when you leave your car with them. Bullshit, as I would go down to the local jurisdiction and talk to someone in their detective division, tell them your story, and see if a crime report was filed for that dealership. Hell, it may have been one of their own, is why they didn't tell you. Good luck either way, but I smell a coverup.
