Thank you all for the links, everyone. Lots of good food for thought and I will give each one due consideration.
Kim -- I'll be transplanting my old Startech steering wheel into this new one, so a dye job is in order no matter what. I'll be dyeing it the slate color
Steve insists I need a SRT convertible based on the speed factor. But, being TOO fast in a vert will get you kicked off most tracks. And, this IS a street car, after all. As much as I love going fast, I want it to be 60% show and 40% go... Majority of the mods I do are geared for street presence. No matter how 'fast' you are on the 1/4 mile, there's always somebody faster, and they're normally in a $5,000 Mustang.
Keep the links coming, folks! I truly appreciate it. I still will entertain a 6-speed if the price/condition is right.

Originally I was leaning towards the Limited w/ auto for more durability, but with Web3.0's latest musings... it's still 50/50 for me. Apparently it's only good for 330 torque, then it overheats and goes boom. Corky plans on making *at least* that with the turbo.
I think the stick, with a proper clutch, would be good for 400 crank. Problem is, the clutch. And flex plate. And synchros. And....

Supposedly, no. I think this is news to a lot of people.

Today's delightful twist:
Police report was released today, the driver of the Pacifica was uninsured. They weren't too kind to him in the writeup.
He received two citations and there were three witnesses validating the report that he made the turn in front of my car, which was in the right-of-way. Police report also states that Kim had appearance of injuries, while he appeared normal. Ironically, he was the one that took the ambulance ride. I carried Kim to the ER about 30 minutes after the wreck, where she was treated and examined for back pain and a sprained left foot.
This is going to be a fun one. My insurance covers uninsured motorists, but I'll still be out my deductible.
At least he turned in front of me, and not a minivan full of children.

John-
Glad to hear you guys came out well, used crossfires out here in Washington go for a song-makes a guy want to have a spare! 4000+ posts, thanks for all you do.
If it gets to parting out the small stuff I need an item that is forever back ordered, my ride is currently sitting. Can't drive it in this state without blinkers, and the front (yes, I did say front) blinker bulb housing is damaged beyond repair. Chrysler tells me that there are 36 people waiting ahead of me for the part. If you can help, or can hook me up with someone you know is parting out, that would be great. I am getting real tired of driving an '84 Toyota pickup to work.
Enjoy the Day,with your attitude it should flow right.

Re: Totaled...
I'm real glad you and Kim are up and about, but very sad your Crossfire is down for the count.
That uninsured motorist thing also makes me angry. Hopefully your insurance company will be reasonable and let you keep the car. Lots of good stuff there.
Best of luck to you and Kim. Be sure to ****** up those clear side markers.

Re: Totaled...
John, about 5 years ago, a guy ran a red light in front of my Daughter and took out her bumper, grill, and one headlight. and some misc. stuff.
As usual, he had no insurance, and we were pretty sure he was drunk at the time of the accident.
Local small town Leo's were there in a heart beat. Since the guy was also a local, (and the son of a former mayor of the town) they didn't do any DUI testing, and as far as I know, they only gave him a ticket for running the light.
After doing our own investigation, we found out he had several DUI's on his record, along with having no insurance too. So we figured we were pretty much out of luck getting our $500.00 deductible back.
Our Insurance Co. fixed the car fine, then they went after him to cover all the damadges (including our deductible) and just about a year later we got a $500.00 check from Nationwide.
I hope everything works out for Ya.

John, I was out of town for a few days and just saw this - so glad you and Kim are ok and so sorry your beautiful car is gone. I always loved to look at your pictures as you changed it into one of the nicest I've seen. By the way I have a friend with a white on vanilla roadster (not for sale) and it truly is a headstopper - hope the insurance and search work in your favour. Ron
Re: Totaled...
Thank you guys for all the pointers.
I must say, I've been very impressed (thus far) with the follow-up and handling by my insurance company (Farm Bureau TN). They are seemingly bending over backwards to assist me. Plus, they waived the deductible and are handling everything as if the other guy was insured. They said they'd simply go after him with no mercy once it all got wrapped up.
I should be in a rental by this evening.
I have a lawyer on standby, just in case, for the medical stuff but I pray I don't have to use him.

I'm 100% positive I'm getting the white roadster with vanilla interior... simply "gawjus". And, to keep the purists happy, I will be getting the 6-speed.
Expect an even more exquisite modding plan for this next one.
