Default URGENT advice need please!!!

Recently my crossfire has randomly started reving when my foot is completely off the gas, It seems to be ok if im going slow, but if i've got my foot down in 2nd and remove foot from accelerator it will continue to keep reving at 3,000-4000 revs, sometimes more, I just take it out of gear and wait for it to calm down which it normally does within 5-10 seconds.

What could this be?

Not sure but first thing i would check is all your vacum lines to see if one came loose or has any holes.

Talking Re: Car revs on its own

There is very likely a split in the rubber adapter that couples the throttle body and the engine. The SRTs have this issue with some frequency, I ended up crazy gluing mine until I got rid of the TB. Woody

Had this problem with my 87 Porsche 944 turbo. Turned out to be a bad Idle (control?) Valve.

Maybe the throttle position sensor?

Default Lights not working properly now

God I've got so many problems where to start....

My lights are playing up now...

Basically my rear lights work ok, but the middle light on the back window is constantly lit up like i'm braking... as soon as i brake with the lights on the bulb indicator comes up on my dashboard and doesn't disappear.

My back right brake light has history of burning bulbs out quick... now my headlight on rightside doesn't work at all, I've changed bulbs and it's not that, it's as if there's no power going to it, my dipped light/full beam works fine on the same light....

this is ontop of...
my spoiler being stuck in upright position,
my heated seats not working,
my cruise control not working, it's almost as if the stalk is stuck because you can't pull it into place
my car randomly reving on it's own accord until i take it out of gear and rev to 7,000rpm a couple of times

I'm really not having much luck with this car, I have already had to replace the alternator, spend $900 to get the car started due to an immobiliser problem.

I know there are tutorials to fix some of the probs above, but I don't know enough to attempt some of them... I wish the crossfire fairy would come and fix my problems one night!

This will be ontop of needing 4 new tyres, steering wheel has excessive play, on a bumpy road i have to fight the car from going left or right because of this aswell as the tracking.

I should probably mentioned that I was fiddling with the wires whilst the lights were on there were quite a few sparks, so I have probably shorted out the rightside of my headlights.... doh

I was using a HID kit, I've removed all of that and i'm just trying to get the oridinary bulbs working now... any sugguestions for me to try myself or should I take to an electrician?

Try fuse #6 for the right low headlight in the dash fuse box. Each head light bulb has its own fuse.
Try fuse #20 for the spoiler in the under hood fuse box.
Try fuse #10 in the under hood fuse box for the speed control.
try fuse #1 in the under hood fuse box for the seat heater.

Look at the steering damper under the car for the steering problem.

Default URGENT advice need please!!!!

Can I run low beam bulbs via the full beam housing? will it work? obviously I would have to use full beams to get the low beams working if it is possible....

I need to drive in the dark tomorrow and I haven't got time to take my car into a garage to sort out a problem with the low beam housing on one side.

It would be possible if you used a male/female extension from the high socket to the low bulb. But that may or not exist and you have no time anyway.
Are you sure it's not the fuse for the low bulb?

Did you check the fuses I mentioned. If you fail to follow any suggestions you may find you will get no more replies.

I have already answered this posts question in you other thread.

Keep all your current questions in one thread.

Thanks, I have my headlights and indicators sorted, the man at the garage said that the electrical problem was probably due to me overloading the system with the HID kit, i'm not so sure though... and the indicator problem was a fuse, even though I checked all of them :/

I will double check the fuses for spoiler, heated seats, throttle problem... but i'm sure they are all fine as I checked before... if I don't get the spoiler problem sorted, is there anyway to get rid of the annoying beeping if you go over 90mph?, as it is so annoying...
