First impressions since I picked mine up yesterday
I finally picked mine up yesterday. I have not had much time to drive it yet and the weather is rubbish today.
The retractable boot cover is good, see my album for pics.
I have a vibrating sub behind the drivers seat, I need to get my screw drivers out to it.
My ash tray will not open, it is stuck. The dealer had a quick look and couldn't fix it. Said to come back in next week.
One of the mechanics warned me about the speakers in the doors saying to be carefull getting in and out as you can easily knock them and break the covers. He said they have had quite a few back and that Chrysler will no longer cover these under warranty!!!
Apart from that everything seems perfect.
Just driving home on the motorway I had loads of people pull up along side me staring at the car. One group of lads kept trying to drive along side me for ages to get a good look!! The wow factor is certainly there. I am really please with it. The exhaust sounds fab when accelerating hard. My girlfriend nearly wet herself with excitement when we left the dealership. (I'm not letting her drive it for a while yet, it's all mine!!). :-)
I'll take lots of pics when it stops raining and I'll also fit the illuminated door sills. I checked my rear window for those white marks and it doesn't seem to have them. I will keep an eye on it to see if this changes.
I had a hands-free mobile phone car kit installed before I picked it up. They have managed to wire it to the cars speakers which is much better than the usual seperate mini speaker they supply. The only problem is it slightly covers the stereo on/off/volume switch, but it is still accessible.

Glad your with it. Haven't the let the wife drive mine yet, but adding her to the insurance saved me 20 per year (for some daft reason).
Like the boot cover.
Watch out for curbs, our low profile tyres do little to protect the wheel rims and have scratched mine already.
Have done 2200 miles in mine and it has jumped out of first gear twice now. First time I though I hadn't engaged properly, but then read TSR and posts so I will be contacting dealer tomorrow.
Also, watch out for overfilling the tank, it is easy to do.

Just finished looking at your pics. Did you ask the dealer to put his details under your light cluster?
I told the salesman that I wouldn't take delivery if they put their name on the paintwork or glass. Happy to have it on the number plate.
:?: What resolution pictures do you post? I need someway to reduce the resolution of mine to upload them.
Any reason why you removed your plate details?

Hi, I forgot to tell the dealer not to put their stickers on the rear bumper. I am looking for a way to remove them, any ideas?
I've just uploaded a few more pics including my mobile phone kit.
Can you look at the pic called "What is it"? This red button depresses as if it should do something, but I can't find anything about it in the manual...
I took the pics in 1280X1024 and then used MS Paint to re-size them to make them smaller but still retain the detail.
Removed plate details as you never know who may steal your plate, then get caught on a speed camera or not paying the London Congestion charge etc..

No, the three black rubber buttons behind this are for the garage doors. My dealer told me they don't work in the UK due to frequency. But I thought maybe this red one was something different. Maybe it is used when programming the other buttons or something. It does talk about programming these though in the UK manual which is odd if they don't work over here.
That was quick!!
I got the wife a really cool tax disc holder from NEXT. Looks a bit like the metal petrol caps on the PT Cruiser/Audi TT/etc. Cost about 12 and uses allen keys to get the paper in and out. Have been thinking about getting one for me too. [Had expected one for father's day, but alas even though I dropped enough hints...]
Have been stuck in work all day. Glad the sun is coming out as I get ready to drive home in about an hour. Will have to see how she handles when the road is slippy.

This looks ok: http://www.paramountzone.com/discholder.htm
The one you have is probably on this site:
http://www.speeding.co.uk/acatalog/P...lders_123.html
but that is more expensive.

As was mentioned, MS Paint can resize. If you have Office 2003, there's a very handy utility that appears in the menu when you right-click a .jpg called the Office Picture Manager. It works VERY nicely, very easy to do 'batch' conversions of multiple pics at once.
If you're just going to put a link in a post (using the 'URL' key), make 'em whatever size you want, since clicking a URL generally opens a new window.
Cyril,
In the UK we have to display a Tax Disc to prove that we have paid our 'Road Fund Licence', basically a government tax for all cars used (supposedly) for the upkeep of our roads. Since it is just a circular paper sheet with your car details and an expiry date, we need something to attach it to the windscreen (windshield?).
Usually you get a dealer sponsored plastic wallet which is massive (see the photos in Saldous album) and looks really bad.
We are attempting to get a cooler looking metal holder for this piece of paper. I am thinking of making my own - I have seen some picture frames made out of brushed aluminium which matches the strip around the windscreen, but I am lacking metal working skills.

Paul, this is covered in another thread on Technical / Modifications. But info below anyway:
It is a Mopar part. Part Code: 82208889
My local Chrysler dealer had them in stock. Normally they have to order them from the warehouse in the UK and it takes a few days for them to get the stock in. I'm not sure if they are available in the US yet. UK quoted price by the dealer is 350, but Chrysler customer services quoted me 241.22. After bartering with my dealer when I got the car I got it for 175 ($311) including fitting.
This web site shows it as well: http://www.chrysler.nl/web/show/id=729402
