Default Crossfire Dead

Hello fellow x-firer's,
I have a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire, I'm going to make this as short as possible, any input at all would be appreciated!! I have been having trouble with my ignition sometimes the key would not work and after a couple minutes of trying it would click over, wasn't really aware of what the problem was until a couple days ago when finally my ignition switch seized. Couldn't get the key to turn tried for hours. Haven't taken it to dealer yet but had a few local mechanics come by and look at it and they are telling me I need to get a new ignition cylinder and it seems no one can help me accept for the dealer . Is there any cheap way around this , and how much is the stealership going to gut me for on this one if I actually have to take it there. Any input is appreciated, thank you so much!!!!!!

Lou

Mine locked up on me at a gas station... got towed home ($100) and had it fixed in about two hours.

All it cost me was my time. (Well, and that $100 that I would not have spent had I fixed it BEFORE it failed...)

The pictures do not show up. Is this because the member that posted is no longer around?
