If you are planning on going to Detroit anyway, best have a look at Renee's offering today in this forum at $14,500, unless of course you are in the 'I hate black' club.

I paid 25K for my 2005 base coupe new back in august of 2005. I went around to 6 or 7 dealers and that was the best I could get at that time. They had some SRT's new on the lot. Never bothered to check them out because I wasn't a fan of the fixed spoiler and I wanted a stick shift. They also had a high price tag so I never even asked about them to see what they could do on the price.

I got my AeroBlue SRT6 Roadster, some 3 months ago, in all but Mint Condition, with 33,000 miles for less than they are asking for this Limited, and mine was a California car. My shipping costs were $800. Mine was site unseen, but owned by a long time Forum Member, who really looked after it.

It's quite a commitment going after a car that far away. I have to trust that this guy say's it's "mint".

Thx but that's a NA Ltd coupe.
I would consider an SRT6 Roadster but they're all either too high mileage or too expensive.

Any chance you could pop in and have a closer look at it??? Maybe check the back window for unglueing and see if it's clean underneath? It could save a fellow forum member boocoo time and bucks! Thx

I'd have to fly 1100 miles to pick it up.
It's a 6spd in mint condition except some curb rash on 2 wheels.
I forgot to ask if there's road salt there but it looks like it's been sitting unused in a garage.
Opinions welcome.
Thx

I bought a 2005 Roadster last June, after doing a lot of online research. It has higher mileage than the one you are looking at but I paid $10,400. The previous owner had traded it in for a Cadillac and the dealer just wanted it off the lot. The dealer knew next to nothing about Crossfires and I actually had to demo the car to him. While looking for that Crossfire, I saw many others in the 12K to 15k range so I would say shop around.

That sounds like a REALLY good buy. I sold my last 05 ltd Roadster with 34k to a local dodge dealer for $14.5 outright. It had the TVT265 installed and the dealer liked that.

I agree, but I'd probably pay even less. This dealer has had the red car for several months, and he's probably worried that he'll be stuck with it all winter. He can't send it to auction in the upper midwest because the other dealers won't want it. It's a manual, which really scares most dealers. I bet they wouldn't pay $12,500 at auction, if they bother to bid at all.

I started shopping for my roadster last fall. Over a period of 3 months I saw dozens of cars that just sat on dealers' lots. I worked a deal in late December on a base model in Virginia with 12,000 miles, manual transmission and 7/70,000 drivetrain warranty for $13,000, but passed on it because of the hassle of going to get it. A week later I found my Limited with 5000 miles for $14,000. It was only an hour and a half away from home.

Be patient.

I could drop by this weekend possibly, though I couldn't make any promises. My car is having trouble starting so I might just take this one for a nice test drive before you get your hands on it

Justa little FYI. there are car transports that are cheaper than airfaire. If you like the car call an auto transport and they will meet the car at just about any dealer and transport the car to your car dealer of choice or in some instances and cross street, and meet you. Cost is about half an airfaire of about RT gas fee. I did that to get my wifes car over from casper WY to Bose ID, only $225. much cheaper than air ticket one way. BOI-DEN-CAS $360.

I'd invest in a CarFax report before traveling that far. I saw a beautiful roadster that I fell in love with until I pulled the report and found out that it had 9 owners in 7 years. Scared me off.

I have no idea and I sure didn't want to find out. The one I ended up buying wasn't quite as nice a color or interior but it was a one owner car and well maintained.
