Greeting from a new member!
Greeting from a new member!
As a proud owner of a new Crossfire Coupe I wanted to check in and say "hi" to the group!
This forum provided me with invaluable information throughout my search and investigation. Thank you for providing a great community- even to those that are lurking. I was able to find a pristine 2007 model with less than 29K miles on the clock. It was seeping oil slightly from the breather and I was able to leverage that for an additional $1000 from an ignorant dealer. Interestingly, it was owned by Chrysler the first three years of its life in Detroit (executive loaner?). It is the fastest color they made, but I haven't been here long enough to say specifically what that is
The Crossfire is a special car with stunning great looks and exactly the kind of ride I was looking for: Grand Touring Missile. I have a BMW Z4 3.0 as well and I find real joy in the strengths of each. Different but true equals.
Thanks again.

PS- Where is the cup holder?!

Great guess on the car color. That is exactly what it looks like...when my garage light is off.

We were just at New Florence MO, some 20 minutes east of you, last weekend Zip lining and enjoying some of Double J's BBQ. at the top on Minneola Hill. (Highway 19 & I-70).
I believe there is another get together on September 10th.
You also are welcome to join us September 30-31-Oct1 in North carolina, Fontana village. Out annual pilgrimage to the notorious 129 Tail Dragon. Here Crossie fools from all over the nation join to chaseeachother up and down the Tennesee and Carolina hills for no real purpose other than good friends, good food, good times and good memories.
Cathy and I are caravaning with Itsky out of Denver CO on Thursday. You would need to make reservations at the lodge.

Now as to the cup holder. That is just a viscious rumor. There is no cup holder in the Crossfire. There is an annoying elbow irritation agitation unit that some have surmised might hold a cup of drink or coffee.
They are misguided.
This is a sports car. Why would you need, much less have engineered, a cup holder in a sports car?

Re: Greeting from a new member!
Franc,
Excellent to be onboard and I actually drove right past the zip line place heading down from I-70 to Hermann last weekend in my Z4 right before getting the Crossfire. I'd love to be part of the Gateway group as I'm from St. Peters which is there in the area.
I'll have to check my schedule and the timetable on a Dragon run but it sounds like great fun. I'll start researching.
In regard to the cup holder, I was being sarcastic :-). So many new members ask about that without searching that I thought I would be funny and ask. Too kind for appeasing me with an answer.
My Crossfire color is Red!....when observing as it passes by at the speed of light. OK- it is the silver/blue color.

Place a styrofoam cup in the holder and allow it to close. Then remove the cup of liquid and wala, a steady stream of fluid, all over your lap.
Have towels at the ready. And do not try this at home. Or around friends. They will never let you live it down. 'Kay?
