Post Newbie with a few questions

Hi, i just baught a 05 black crossfire, manual. I love the car but i bought it used with 80k on it so there are some problems. Im missing the cars owner manual so i am clueless on a lot of things. For the owners manual problem would a dealer be able to give me a copy?(how much $). I love the car but some cosmetic work needs to be done. The tail lights are both chipped on the bottom inward corner, guy said it was from a car wash, anyone seen that happen before?

The Owner's Manual and other goodies can be found at this Forum link:

If you want an original hardcopy, I'd try eBay, cause I don't think the Dealers are givin them away, and heaven help you if you have to buy it from them.

You might also want to post any details about your car (many put this stuff in their signature)...

Sounds like a Base Coupe - I looked at a Base Roadster with just over 100,000 on it last fall, they wanted $11,000 and I thought that was nuts. It was in fair shape, the top was in poor shape.

One thing I noticed ... the clutch felt new (may have been new, but that would cost up to $1600) and the car drove wonderfully. You'd not have a clue it had over 100,000. (May have been 120,000 - can't remember.) They lowered the price to $9000 a month later, but I'd already bought the Graphite Limited by then. At $2500 for a new top and those miles, I thought the car was worth no more than $8000. Anyway, what that car taught me: these cars are still gonna be fun and a pleasure to drive even when they get tons of miles on them.

Hang around and keep reading. I'd do the "Sticky Ignition Key" modification SOON, since you don't know the history of the car. I'd also look at the Battery, anything over 3 years old gets replaced if it's mine ( some here think I go too far with that ). I'd also recommend a spare CPS, carry it in the trunk with a pair of pliers and a torx screwdriver!

Welcome to the permagrin club!

Thanks i appreciate the tips, i did buy my car from a private seller and the portable air compressor and tire sealant were missing. I believe it is the base model because there is no chrome trim or leather seats.

You may be able to buy an actual manual from Chrysler.

Less than thirty bucks.
