Have no idea what exchange rates are, but was quoted 'my' price at $235 US... when they become available.
Any pics yet, anyone?

I just ordered one from CTD in Germany, so hopefully I'll get it shortly... probably before my Crossfire is delivered! I'll take some photos and write up the self install details.

I heard you will have to drill a hole through the fender.

drill a hole through the fender.
I certainly hope not... I'd be surprised if that'd be required as it's all internal fittings.

If you think of it as a roller blind mounted horizontally, all there *should* be are the mounts at the rear of the seats/trunk/boot to hold the rolled up cover and some kinda clip at the other end of the hole to latch it onto.

... that's the theory anyway :?

i'm sure the only holes that are drilled will be in the interior plastic for mounting the hardware and/or on the underside of hatch area for the cover to attach to. regardless...i just ordered the cover through my local dealer...the part is on back order...but it will be worth the wait. quoted price $259.

Your local dealer should have them in stock, why order from Germany? (unless the price is better).

AdFrad, where are you in Berkshire? I'm in Bracknell.

All, see my album for two pics of the boot cover. It is currently raining so I only took these quickly. When the weather improves I'll take some better ones. I got mine for ’175 in the end after bartering with the dealer.

List price is ’241.22 (price given to me by Chrysler customer services. My dealer told me it was ’350.)

I just got mine delivered from CTD, looks slightly different to the Mercedes one in that there is no gap. There are two "snaps" or "poppers" that attatch to the plastic on the inside of the boot and keep the cloth taut.
