You come on here and post pictures looking for a response from the group. We ARE in a forum. I thought my response was pretty nice. I said it wasn't for me and I wouldn't change the factory trim. I don't think it is my place to say how I really feel.... I didn't want to be rude. But now that you think I was rude and mean I mine as well give you my honest opinion.... so here is how I really feel about it.
It is the most butt ugly thing I have ever seen. It looks cheap and I would never put a fake wood plastic sticker on any part of my car. Good luck taking them off because they won't peel off easy. In my opinion you just ruined your car.
There you have it. You think I was being rude in my first post. I was not trying to be... but since I am going to be blasted by you for being rude, I mine as well go all the way and say how I really feel.
By the way, as for the spelling... I was using a mobile device and it changed a word on me. I do know how to spell.
By the way, you write like someone in kindergarten ("sometimes saying nothing is the best you should say").

I do admit I had the same thoughts about to much on the center area, but went for it anyway. FYI these kits are used on many high end cars, and yes removing them is not an option.

It does look like a Lexus; but this is a GT style car. Having said that, if you like it, then you are set to go, to me it is laughable, but I don't have to drive it.
Don't feel bad about the slams, most people here really gum up these cars unfortunately. They were conceived very tastefully, and that means understated. The silver is all about the retro deco (30's), the plastic is all about weight, cost, and durability.
Just call me pragmatic about these things.

That how you really feel BlackCross? I've known you to be alot more vocal than that! LOL! Just pulling you, I hope you know that. You made a good point, it is a forum, wannabe did ask for opinions, I said I liked it, you don't, and the answer to both is "so what?"
You can get this off if you want, a hairdryer will pull it up, and then a good wash down with goo gone and you're done. It really isn't a big deal.
Like Wannabe I thought the silver paint was a tad tacky on almost a 40K car. But that's just me. I've had the daskkit on now for a bit over 2 years and I'm still not tired of the way it warms up the car's look. But then again, I like christmas lights over my bar downstairs. need to find one of those hip swaying hula girl dolls for the dash though. Been looking for one of those for a long time.
BTW, actually, in mine as well as Wanna's I think doing only the stack, and the console from the stack back looks the best overall. Someday I may take it off from the other places except the door handle area, but for now I like it just fine.

But like I said.... it is just my opinion. I don't want to knock anyone that modifies their cars. You have the wood look and like it. It is your car. If you like it then that is ok. There are things I think look great and most people would say it was ugly. I personally think the car would look great with small rear window louvers. Most people here would say it is ugly. It is simply a matter of taste.
You have the wood trim and love it. I say enjoy it. Life is too short. There are a lot of modifications I wanted to make on a car but didn't because others didn't like it. Looking back I should not have cared. After all, you (and I) own our cars. We can do what we want to them.
Re: dash kit installed
I did not and do not like that expanse of silver in my cars. Put the top down and the sun makes it insufferable. I installed wood, carbon fiber and paint to hide it. It looks good to me and wears well. plus it was low cost and easy. his job was well done. my cars are not for sale so it does not " hurt" value. people think it's factory with positive comments. gary

Re: dash kit installed
The cherry looks, well, cherry
But the switch gear still clashes, and I'm too lazy to run down all the non-silver MB switch sets to make a center console change work.
Who knows, I might get the non silver switches and take the console and switch gear out for a phenolic dip in Acura titanium burlwood.
At least you could change out the OEM head unit for something like the JVC KD-AVX77 to cut down the silver shock.
But I understand why you want to change. The plainish interior gets a little irksome to the eye, even though the silver center stack has grown on me.
