Default New Tailpipes

After a few weeks of waiting DCUK have replaced my rusty tailpipes with a nice new set, hopefully these will fare better!

While at the dealership i checked the 2 xfires in the showroom, the demo car had the first signs of rust already, I think this is going to be an issue in the damp uk climate.......but the precedent has been set so you can get them changed.

Next its onto the saggy seats wish me luck

Goodluck with seats i thought i see how much $$to change them to like the AMG SLK seats, much nicer! It would be worth a $1,000. to me.The seat and radio screen are the cheapest looking parts in the car i forgot the shifter.

Do you think wax or some kind of polish would help protect it longer?

Pass what?

I gave you advice on how to prevent it. You would much rather waste time at the dealership on the weekend swapping out exhaust tips?

I still fail to see what you guys are talking about when you say "saggy seats". How much do you guys weigh that you are damaging the seats?

Advice always welcome and yes i am looking for something to use on the tailpipes, but judging by the number of cars on the forecourt with the same issue it seems maybe the finish is not up to the mixed climate of the UK....

Can't speak for myself but there are a number of us on here with the saggy seats, i noticed mine only weeks after getting the car, the passenger seat sagged after carrying a few people on 100 mile plus trips, since not being used so much it seems to have returned to normal shape.

Sadly the drivers seat is well an turuly saggy with 10k miles on the clock.

I would think that the climate here in the NE US would be about the same as in the UK. We havent had a day under about 75% humidity in a month now, not to mention the constant rain and thunderstorms here.

Why does this seem to only be a problem on the UK cars? I cant imagine its the climate.

LOL maybe its the extra bangers and mash you had at the pub with the 20 or so pints every other night

the material on the center section/textured area of the seat is loose/baggy (i have my doubts on it even being leather...the bolster area/edges of the seat are nappa leather...but not the textured area/inserts...possibly vinyl imo.

the seats just blow....not supportive on the lower section at all...just flat as a board.

I agree about the loose seat bottom, and i think we all should sign a letter explaining our collective opinion, they(DC) might do something after all we're paying customers! And they need to keep us.Why not we have nothing to loose.

Exhaust Tip : I use "NevrDull" to clean mine. Keeps the stains off. I also use it for the chrome on the front and rear badges etc.

Seats Baggy? Mine seem tight and are the best ive ever had......but I do agree that they feel flat as a board at times.

Lordpercy, I think the tailpipes should have been Stainless. I haven't had any trouble with mine yet, but it gets very little use. The average person doesn't think about polishing an exhaust outlet(nor should he have to). And I also think the seats are about average. I've had several cars with much better seats, and a few with worse. As with all consumer products, our cars are a compromise between quality and price. I'm not complaining though, I love the car!
