At about 1400 - 2000 RPM in 2nd and 3rd gear the car bucks real bad then it is a loud sound rom the back sounding like I am driving on the median on the highway. It feels like it gets stuck and sound real bad. Then when u give it some gas it feels like it takes off joslting past the problem. I took the a chrysler tech and made him drive it and he looked puzzled and he siad I dont know what it is. ANy help please>>>>

Have you had the cold air box/engine cover off?If it isn't seated properly with the throttle body it could cause that same kind of problem.

BTW.... Why do you say that Alabaster is "PLAYERZ WHITE" ? What's that mean?

Default nope

no i havent taouched a thing its bone stock. It only has 2000 miles on it. The worst thing is the sound it makes from the rear end. It actually sounds like you riding on the median almost like a grinding. A loud rub noise, then give it more gas and it frees up.

I have no clue what that could be. Keep us posted. I'm curious to hear what it is.

I know what a Player is.... I guess my Alabaster is "Not a Player, Found the perfect woman White"

Maybe it's your liftgate needing some adjustments. There's 2 rubbers on the side of the liftgate where you can adjust the height. Hope that works for you

Default Still dont know

Its funny because I have been trying to think all day what it might be. It just worries me when the mechanic took the car and felt it and he said he doesnt know. The only thing I think is maby a trans mount or trans.

Also Players White is just a term that a bunch of my friends use. Guess because u see all the players wearing white. Same thing with green call it money green. So if u have a white car with green leather. Playerz white with money green guts.

Anyways I will keep you all posted and please more comments about what everyone thinks.

My guess is either the torque converter or it's the transmission is slipping. My Tahoe did it when we were on road trips. It would shift REAL hard from first to second. Also I had a Isuzu Trooper back in the day and it sounded almost exactly like what you were saying, but it was the transfer case from the 4 wheel drive trying to kick in when it wasn't supposed to. Definatley the trans though!

Default Its new

I brought it in for service about 4 times already with other problems. But the car is brand new only has 2000 miles on it. I defintly think tis something with the trans though.

I just found out what the whole problem is. THe trans is shot. So this kinda sucks now who knows how long itll be until they fix this. Anyone here had this done. Also how does the trans go with only 2000 miles on the car. can they say it was something that i did? Because I know that it wasnt, I have just been driving it normally. Anyways any input will help

If by "Shot" you mean it has to be completely replaced, I've had that done...

Took the tech considerably longer than he had anticipated. I don't know exactly how long he spent on it (was in the shop waiting on the tranny for about a week).

It had came in, and I was told the tech would have it ready for me first thing the next morning (was starting vacation, and wanted to get on the road)

Well, it was 4pm the following day (of course I had been there seething since 7:30am). After the tech had been in till midnight the night before, (got the new tranny in before the F'er realized he changed a Tranny without any F'ing Tranny Fluid to put in the replacement. uh, isn't that step one? And, it takes 9 hours to get F'ing Tranny fluid?!). Anyway, I vented on this long ago, so I will try and let it drop... sorry.

I was told, the service manual diagram is incomplete and connections were not all documented (thus he was there till midnight figuring it all out). You might want to inquire if they have changed one yet. Those of us who had the "popping out of first issue" early on got a new tranny to fix the problem, so there are lots of techs out there who have done this to a Crossfire already.

I had my tranny replaced for the popping out of first gear problem and once they got the tranny to the dealership, it took a day and a half. I haven't had any problems with the transmission since, 15K miles later.

Also, if you've had the car in for other problems with less than 2K miles, you might want to look at the lemon laws in your area. Complain loudly and stick to your guns...Chrysler has traded out for new cars in extreme cases.

And as for wondering if they will say that it's your fault, I haven't heard anyone complain about that...in all the problems we've heard about, the dealers are bending over backwards to fix everything under warranty; the service issues have been their learning curve on exactly how to fix the cars.

Just out of curiosity, what's your build number (last five digits of your VIN)?

Many of us know some of the frustration you are going thru...I'm still grumbling about the "service learning curve" after 9 months. But I'll tell you, when I picked up my car from the shop today, it was just such a joy to drive that it's all worth it.

Good luck!

Don't worry about it, it's being fixed under warranty. Stuff happens. I had my 6-Speed transmission replaced. The ordered the unit and everything was done in three days... no big deal really. Good luck.

YOu belive that they accuse me of doing burnouts in it, So my fatther flipped at the guy and said dont accuse him of anything go check the damn tires for yourself and youll see there fresh as if i just bought them. Thats Some ISH just because I am young autmatically think i was doing some burnout or somehting so jsut to **** them off i might leave the garage doing one.

I had the tranny rebuilt in my Stratus R/T around 5k miles because it grinded if you shifted fast into 3rd. They told me I should wait a good 3 seconds between shifts. They were morons. It was the sport oriented "R/T" model and they tell me to drive it like a granny.

As for your crossfire, can it even do a burnout?

His can't right now, but if you got to remember to turn off that traction control you can knock it out. If you don't have a line-lock then use the break pedal if you are doing a burn out to warm up the tires or if just want an excuse to buy some new ones...

Nope that's childish, just leave like you're supposed to. Burning rubber will only add to "their" earlier statement and you better believe they will make a note of it. Sometimes it's better to grin and bear it.
