Default Does Your Hardtop Leak In The Rain?

My 04 hardtop leaks water just behind the drivers headrest when it rains. I have pulled the roof trim strips and have used sealer around the rubber door trim and it still soaks the headliner.
Any ideas on what to do next?

Is it coming from the hatch? There isn't a seam to leak above the headrest. That's weird.

I didn't think it was coming from the hatch. I will look at it next. Yesterday I had it leaking hard just over the drivers seat belt area. I can't believe a hardtop leaks! I'm also thinking of removing the headliner to see if it's easier to see the culprit.
Does anyone else have any ideas?

Mine leaks a little bit when I wash it but it doesn't mess up my headliner so it's not a big deal to me I am pretty sure that it is the top part of the window maybe you can adjust it so it seals tighter

Yeah I had the same prob and I figured it out. When you close the door, it dosent happen everytime but you will notice that your window dose now seat fully into the molding. Witch leaves a hair slit crack. An water comes in through there. So the reeason is that the molding is getting worn out. I got to change mine. Wat I have been doing in give the window a push after I close the door an that seemed to help me. But I'm 100% that is what it is.

The reason why the sealent didn't work is cause the waters coming through a slit between the window and the molding. Next time you shut the door. Shut it with maby a lil less then norm to make repeat the problem an ushould see that the window rests above the molding. I have the same prob

Thanks for all the input. Sounds like the weather strip needs to be changed out. Where might a good place to purchase that part?
Again, thanks.

If the glass is staying outside the rubber then the window mechanism needs adjusting. When you are in the car and the door is open, lower the glass, shut the door and then raise the glass. It should come up under the seal.
It is an easy but time consuming job as you have to take the inner door panel off to do the adjustment.
The glass can be adjusted for height and angle (pitch) both of these may be out in your case. Do not let the glass rub against the seal as that would be the worst part to replace.
