I have to assume your mistaken on which car turns more heads or gets more questions asked.
The only thing I would agree on is it is usually guys that come up to the window. I have to believe they are thinking they are approaching the window of a female in the Miata. Sorry but but it is NO question the Miata is a chick car (unless in full race attire) and even at that it is a "when I grow up I'm goin to be a real race car.
It's America and everyone has an opinion,
Hell you like Miatas I like Cher...

I'm assuming you are referring to me. I meant the Crossfire is better looking cause no other car looks like the Crossfire. Some people love how they look a very few hate the way they look. Although the Crossfire is becoming more common it still catches the eye of many because it is unique. As far as the Miata/MX-5....... well that is your opinion. I will say that the "girl car" thing is all a myth. Mostly men drive these cars because very few woman know how to drive a manual these days and they are pretty hard to find in automatic. I will say that my uncle was a big Mustang fan for a long time and owned quite a few of them and he traded his in for a Miata. I own a Miata, my grandfather owns a Miata, and my uncle owns a Miata. These cars aren't made to be drag cars and be really fast. These are just nice smooth cars that are fun, cheap, good on gas, and very reliable. I won't give up my Miata and if I do give it up it would be for a newer Miata.

More common?

No new sales, no advertising, no dealer support, less parts, more accidents, and more people putting them away in garages to never see the light of day and you think they are getting more common?

Exact opposite, it just seems they are getting more common as more people can buy them in the sub $10K range....

Maybe so but I am seeing at least one a day now in my area. A year ago I would see one every once in a great while. I don't think most people know that these cars are no longer supported. It's now a cheap car to buy and looks good. I think most people would buy this car and not think twice about the support for the car.

I agree with you Cody, but the reality of the situation is the cars you are seeing are getting less expensive (older with higher mileage) and most banks will not loan on a car that is 6-7 years old, so there are those that have bought them recently, but moving forward, the only people who are going to be buying them are those that can afford to pay up front and not finance, most of them are intelligent enough to look into the service needs of a potential vehicle.

I think you will continue to see more over the next year or two, but much past then, I think you are going to see less and less on the roads....

Sorry for the hijack, Nick, now back to the purple miata
