Re: ECU programming ?
Does anyone own an interface that can be shipped? I need to reprogram my airbags. I am very knowledgeable about car diagnostics/electronics but have no access to that proprietary crap Chrysler has, they want stupid amounts of money for something I can do in 2 minutes with the tool in hand.

I would just get someone (a Mercedes shop) who owns one to do it, if your need for reprogramming is legitimate - a multiplexer will cost you a few hundred bucks at the least.
(Sorry for hijacking this thread to answer this question - I just wanted to clarify that reprogramming airbags isn't a walk in the park and he should probably just get someone else to do it for him).

which only works with:
I used to own an Audi and with a $20 cable and two years of online research I was capable of programming new keys, mate clusters/radios/ecus, correct mileage......etc. I just want to know what other options do I have besides the DRBIII with the orange card.
Re: ECU programming ?
I had a tune from Jose at speedinnovations, it was done four or five years ago and I really liked it but just a month ago I had Jerry at Eurocharged re-tune mine and I like it better! Call him !

DRB III with the Crossfire and Sprinter cards is a weird package DaimlerChrysler created to allow "Chrysler Dealerships" to work with the Crossfire and Sprinter, which are really Mercedes cars (and hence fully supported by DAS). While I've never worked with DRB III, it's my understanding DAS is substantially more fully-featured, especially in developer mode.
DAS will definitely work with a Crossfire - under the covers, including the ECU and electronics, it's just an R170 SLK-class. That's how the Mercedes engine swaps are done without needing to hack the ECU: using DAS in developer mode.
As far as I know the only people who know how to do anything to the Crossfire with a $20 cable (Galletto) are Eurocharged, and that's because they've disassembled the raw ECU dumps so they can just modify the flashes and reflash, rather than sending the ECU configuration commands DAS-style (and hence they can do more than DAS in some respects, like editing fuel mappings, and less in others, like resynchronizing VINs and keys). To the best of my knowledge the configuration protocol DAS uses is encrypted and has not been reverse-engineered.
