Another Traffic Stop
Re: Another Traffic Stop
You are correct. It is illegal to pull someone over for no reason. The law tells all of us, no matter what state you are in, you need probable cause. So, before you all get bent out of shape, agree or not agree, 1 mph over the limit is probable cause, a "roll" stop is pc, tinted windows is pc, accellerating too fast from a stopped position ( in their opinion), is pc...and I could go on and on....just be nice, it's just a job...we get bored too...

The old guys, like me, understand that, and use our common sense when dealing with these individuals. Now, lets talk about that. If it is a young kid, and Dad just gave him this gift we would all die for, then, based on what he did, would be the outcome. Older guys, usually, and say usually have more driving experience, use better judgement, on when and where to do this, and their outcome might be different. But, with even all that said, there isn't anywhere around me now that is safe to open a car up, experience or no experience. Unfortunitely, a track is the only safe place today, at least around these parts.
