WARNING - WARNING - WARNING

This is a system alert!!!!

You have announced that more than 12 Crossfires will be in the same proximity at the same time....

There is a grave possibility that the Di-Lithium crystals that power the cloaking devices will cause an explosion with enough force to destroy the protective Van Allen Belts that encircle the Earth.

D/C hereby states that we never intended to see this many of this model automobile in the same place at the same time, and that D/C is removing itself from any liability associated with your meeting, and the possible destruction of the planet.

But have a nice day.....

Yours truly,

Attornies Fleeceum, Cheatum, and Runne

 OK - I said in an earlier post that I emailed Chrysler Magazine about our trip. I got a reply today and then I replied to them and they replied to me - Here is their reply to me - (I edited the reply because there were actually two replies - I put them together).

Dear Connie,

Thank you for your email to Chrysler magazine regarding your planned
trip up Route 1.

I appreciate you letting us know about your trip with Chrysler Crossfire
owners. It does sound like a great brand loyalty opportunity. I will
forward your message to Chrysler magazine staff to see if someone would
like to pick up on your story.

I am sure they will be as excited to read about the trip as you and the other Chrysler Crossfire owners are about embarking on it.

In addition to the fun you will have, I think will be a great way to
share the joys of the Chrysler Crossfire ownership experience and extol
its virtues to others along the way. Who knows, you may even have more
owners with their Chrysler Crossfires join you along the way!

Thank you again, Connie, for your correspondence. We wish all of you a
safe and happy journey.

Sincerely,

Chrysler Magazine Editor

Come on everyone - I know there are Arizonians, Nevadans and Californians that have not joined or let us know they would love to join but had previous plans.

How Cool Will It Be If We Get In The Magazine

Don't forget to add the part about how you all met on CrossfireForum.org... that would be cool if we could get the site in the magazine...

mighty- you are absolutely right - I will make sure Crossfireforum.org is mentioned in my email to them. I'm sorry I didn't mention it in the first place - sorry you had to remind me. Without this forum, this wonderful Left Coast Hook-Up would not even be happening :!:

 Look at all the "friends" we would not have made also - even though we do not always agree. Remember - family members do not always agree on everything either

Thank You so Much - We owe it all to YOU

that is a good idea. matter of fact, i copied the front page of this site and gave it to the service manager when i went in on the radiator hose this week. showed him how to look up the tech history etc. he said he would show it around.

we'll see.

Getting this site published in a magazine sent to everyone who purchases a Crossfire would certainly help the membership grow...

:? Well - Here is the next email I got from Chrysler Magazine:

Hi Connie and Will,

Thanks so much for your emails. I decided to respond to both of you together, since I received your notes about the same time and you'll be traveling together later this month.

This sounds like an awesome trip. Unfortunately, you might have noticed in the most recent issue of Chrysler magazine we published a similar story-this one on California's Highway 1 from San Francisco to Big Sur in a Crossfire. Having driven a great deal of that stretch for the story myself, I have a good idea how cool your trip's going to be. And it'll be all the better since you're traveling in such a great pack of Crossfires!

I'm so pleased that you both took the time to email me about your trip. I'd love to hear back from you after the trip-my prediction is that people will gather around your cars every time you stop along the way. We might be able to run a letter to the editor after the fact. Be sure to take lots of good photos, and send me the best for consideration.

Thanks again for your notes, and have a wonderful trip.

Dan

So ... guess we all need to get as many good pictures as we can!!!

And houstondan - I like your idea ... maybe we can send them our lunch bill

So what does this mean - if you were driving somewhere else they would cover it?????

IMHO this would be a great follow up story to the first article. How the magazine inspired so many Crossfire owners to make the trip!!!!

I have no idea how the marketing people for this company keep their jobs....

Or maybe they are just too cheap to spring for a lunch!!!!!!!!

Hey guys!

Turns out that I will be in Chandler AZ early next week for business. I got to thinking... I'm extremely overdue for a vacation... maybe I will take the rest of the week off to join you on the hook-up!

Here is my question... since I will have a rental car (one I would MUCH rather not drive) is anyone willing to let me hop in with them? My first time in the xfire passenger seat!

If so, let me know where I can meet up with you so I can start planning my trip. 8)

I hope this works out. I'd love to join you guys!! Maybe get my face in the magazine!

Oh, and of course I'll pitch in for gas and incidentals... I'm not lookin for a free ride :!:
