I always wanted a CJ8...lol.... most are rust buckets now. I did find an X90 Suzuki for my son. Made 2 yrs, only imported 7-8k of them according to who you beleive. There are all sorts of limited production cars out there, not all go up in value, but some do become collectable. I am keeping mine until I die. No reason not to. I would like to add an SLK 350 to the stable, but that is it.

What usually causes increases in value, in the future, is the fond memories of those that owned and drove them in the past as well as those that wanted one but never made the purchase. With the Crossfire having very limited production numbers, there is a good likely hood of appreciation in the future. The reason there is a bit of increase in value right now is because the younger generation is realizing the fun/performance factor with affordability and the fact there are getting to be fewer good examples available. These young people will be the future collectors and restorers. In 10 more years, I doubt 30% of the original production run will remain due to accidents and misuse.

In British Columbia there is a Chrysler dealer that has approx 8/12 Crossfires the prices range from (Canadian), which is or was .01cent higherthan US last Tuesday, from $16K to 21K, he has one with only 3500 miles--must have imported from US.

Due to my wifes arthritis we have to sell her 05 with 24K and we expect to get around $17K a hi number and we are open to dealing.

To late I realized I should have got an automatic

My perspective might be a little diffrent than some others. I'm 61, so I don't care what the value will be in 20 or 30 years. I'll drive it and enjoy it.

Just so you don't think I'm ragging on you. With the amount of miles I drive my SRT it maybe worth 10k, I probably won't get more than 7-8k on a trade in a couple of years.

Edit: left out a couple of words lol. They're in blue btw
Nick you are absolutely right, and maybe even on the high side. I bought my base coupe nearly 2 years ago with 32K on it, perfect condition for $9700.

I say drive the wheels off of it and bury me in it.
I agree with this as well, I had to go to 3 banks before someone would loan on a 2004 for me (until I got the insurance money) and I have a credit score above 750. Even with less than 40K miles and a book value of almost twice what I was borrowing. Most cut off at 5 years old now, so some trying to get rid of these things in the future, may have trouble with private sales as CN suggests....

I ran accross this linnk while looking for the "geen" status of the Crossfire.

The guy was likly creating a top ten list but couldn't help but add the Crossfire. What he says isn't all that nice but at least HE considers it a possible "classic"

I agree with his assessment of the other ten cars so logic dictates I would have to accept the validity of his assessment for our little Orphans.

I got 13k for mine on a trade back in January. I think I was lucky. Mine was an 05 ltd 6 speed with 15k miles, aftermarket wheels, Alpine, Needswings dual CAI, Magnaflow. The car was perfect. They turned around and were asking 17,9. then they dropped it to 16,9. So far its still sitting on the lot. I think 16,9 is way high considering the market. I was going to try and sell my car this summer and I was gonna ask around 13 for it. An opportunity presented itself and I decided it was the time. Will these cars become classics? Its gonna take a while but from my perspective yes, I see fewer and fewer of them and its probably one of the prettiest cars I've ever seen.
I guess I have to ask a question though. What defines a classic? Worth more than you paid? Some kind of other recognition? I'm curious.
