Dnivek, I'm curious how you thought the car was quick because I feel like mine is pretty slow off the line. It was hard for me to get used to the gas pedal on mine since it's way more spongey than any other car I've driven. The only car that I felt had a similar gas pedal was my dad's VW Jetta TDI.

Edit: Now that I'm researching a spongey pedal, I'm freaking out that my TPS is messing up. Throttle Reset, here I come...
Just because your neck is not snapping back doesn't mean the car is slow off the line I had an old 78 caddy that gave me more of a neck spasm than the crossfire.... but I know the crossfire is much faster off the line. My point is just because it doesn't feel like it has power doesn't mean the power isn't there. Just my opinion....

I know what you mean. I didn't buy this car thinking it'd be a Corvette or anything like that. I just figure a Throttle Reset won't hurt. Maybe I'll have to take it out again since it's been a while.

Just because I'm young doesn't mean I'm Johnny Speedracer. I love this car to death (dream car!) so I just want to make sure it's functioning properly.

Makes you wonder.... I seem to remember all the older sports cars (like the trans am) being very powerfull. When you hit the gas you were latched into your seat. Some of the newer cars today are even faster off the line and you would think the same feeling would be there. I just don't feel the pressure in the newer cars like I felt in the older cars... maybe it is just me. Or the newer cars are designed to be more stable.

Congratulations on your purchase. I am in the Lansing area and have a 2005 Coupe Automatic that I purchased last summer.

I can guarantee I've seen you around. I know that I've seen your color Crossfire around and seeing it often was one of the reasons I wanted mine so bad!

I live right off Saginaw near Hagadorn. Great to meet another Lansing Crossfire owner.

The only other one I've seen is a Black Convertible in Dimondale.
Sure is fun driving around Lansing. Get lots of looks (and compliments)

I guess I am use to my old car, the Xfire seems fast enough off the line to me. I put some pic s up in my album today.

Consider getting a sprint booster. Should fix your throttle lag.

I'm actually always pleasantly surprised by my N/A's snap off the line - although my other daily driver is a 4Runner and I went into the Crossfire with a firm grasp of the numbers (which, for the N/A are pretty middling, honestly - even some modern family sedans are as fast). I think the low 1st gear in the 6 speed (and the 6-speed in general) really helps the neck-snap factor - even my coworker's automatic 335 in sport mode doesn't yield the same grin-inducing fun effect, and it's a much, much faster car by any measure.
