MikeR:
The DYNO gave a result of 195RWHP, I have since added the K&N filters, and now the 74mm TB. I think it should be around 205RWHP, not bad for a NA.
I'm going to go buy some gasket material and make a gasket for the TB. It seems to idle rough now. Checked all the hoses, etc. can't find a problem. will clean it up at lunch time and try again. Oh, I did do the Throttle reset too.

Throttle Body Gasket
quote]
What is the thickness of this gasket?
Is the original cork? These cork and rubber compounds can break apart with time as they get brittle. The photo did not look like cork. I want to make mine before I get to see it.
You do not want a gap like the one shown in the photo if you can avoid it. No need for the fancy outside shape, I would guess square would be just fine.
I have found if you spray the blank gasket with a little of that tack spray, stick it to the part and carefully cut out the holes with a sharp pointy Xacto knife you can get a better fitting gasket than the ones you buy. Cheaper too at $16 from the stealership.
The OEM gasket is actually an O-ring.

If this is the case, since you have added the K&Ns as well, there is no way to tell how much the TB will add by itself, but I would still be curious if you have it dynoed again....

Jerry did a flash tune about a month before the dyno tune. It was putting out 183 HP before the dyno tune if I remember correctly. It was on premium fuel. That's it. The Dyno Jerry was using ,he said reads a little lower than some others.

Wasn't me, got mine in pieces from a friend and used some parts off the stock TB to make it work. Had that thing on and off about 7 or 8 times, only broke one part, the clamp that goes around the MAF neck. Fixed it with cable tie straps until I find another one. Does anyone have a spare to get rid of or sell?

Hey BUDS chek this out:
My engine is from a e320 1999, this car used to have OBDI port, the original part number
for the throttle body is 112 141 0025... Maybe this one matches with the 113 141 0025
dont you think?
Thats maybe the reason because the conectors doesnt match! because the 0025 TB are
for cars with OBDI settings.
The original Part number of the crossfire OEM engine TB is 112 141 0125, and its compatible with 113 141 0125....
Do you know anything about this? or anyone who could help me with this? i dont want to
make a mess when i buy mine...
MAYBE my option will be the 0025 instead of all of you guys....

Re: 2 x 74mm throttle bodys plug-n-play for $100 ea. @ eBay
I am not trying to **** anyone off, just asking a question for the sake of asking a question...
Are you guys so heavily modded that you require changing out the TB? That would be one of the last thing I would attempt, and to my knowledge, no one has produced any evidence that it actually increases power. There are quite a few mods that are dyno proven to give results and have detailed install instructions.
The other thing to consider, and again, I am not trying to knock anyone, it is all relative. What one person thinks is easy may be nearly impossible for another. Some people on here could take apart the motor and reassemble it in the dark, while others can not even change a headlight bulb.....

Days ago I was Talking with a friend, he builds engines for NASCAR, and he is specialized in PORSCHE engines... he told me...."ITS A SIMPLE THING... if you get more AIR into the ENGINE....you shoul take MORE AIR OUT.... " He meant that the TB mod, has to be complemented with an excelent exhaust system... it sound logic to me...
All of my friends have HEADERS installed on their Cars, including cat deletes.... thats maybe the reason why the TBs made diference on their cars....
The TB MOD do have increment on power, but your engine will still be restricted as long as you dont help it with a better exhaust...
Re: 2 x 74mm throttle bodys plug-n-play for $100 ea. @ eBay
So your saying go ahead and bolt on some headers to get the most from a TB upgrade?
