I'm paying $65 per month for a regular, ol' garage. Keeps the rain, snow and UV off the car. I have two garages for my "babies"; a 2005 XF and a 2002 MR2. So the bill is $130 every month, but it's worth it.

I find this incredibly hard to believe...

Just make sure when you do this, it runs long enough to get to temperature and stay there for 15-20 minutes or you could be doing more damage than good by introducing moisture....

Hey!!! There is actually a benefit to being in California!!!!!! lol....

I dont understand how you guys do it... I love driving my car year round and would miss the hell out of it for even a couple weeks let alone months.

No more mice...
Good for you, When I last investigated Climate controlled storage over the winter for one of my Crossfires, it was $200-235/Month in the Houston Area, AND ALL fluids had to be drained. You may say you could get away with not draining fluids, BUT if EVER anything happened, even if it was not your fault, you could be looking at some serious claims on you. So BOTH my Crossfires are kept in my own garage, and my Daily use 2011 Camaro SS must stay on the drive.

For the past 5 years, I was an advocate of non-storage, which meant driving the Xfire on nice, dry winter days for a half hour or so every 3-4 weeks fron Dec-Mar.

However, this Fall, I got a calculator and did the math: 2 car garage with 3 cars. Just got tired of going out every morning and scraping ice & snow off a frozen, metallic ice cube (my DD). Per the Farmer's Almanac, the midwest is supposed to have a doozie of a winter this year; not that last year's was any picnic.

For $100/month (less when you factor in insurance deduction), with a climate control of +50 degrees and a plug for the battery tender, mine's parked here until Spring:

I find this incredibly hard to believe... Yup. car paint and Waxoyl covers the steel. No oxygen contact, no rust or corrosion.

Same here Jim, I was keeping my XF and my Bug in the garage, and my three daily drivers were outside. So storage makes good sense for me. Now two of my three DD are in the garage, and I can put all three in if make room on one side of my garage.
