Default Speakers

I am a recent owner of a xfire. I just love it. I have noticed and read in the manual that there are 6 speakers for the sound system. Two in each door and two behind the seats. Do the speakers behind the seats emit any sound? Mine do not. I have not noticed on the sound system controls that I can balance the sound from front to rear. I have only noticed a right to left balance. If this is a error on the manufacturers part, I will seek a repair. If not, please let me know how I can produce sound out of the rear seat speakers.
Also, what do I need to do or add to my cell phone to use the sound system features for cell phone use. (ie, phone mute, driver left and driver right speakers for talking on the cell phone. ) The manual discusses the use and option features for cell phones, but does not discuss how to set up the phone for this use. I would appreciate any help from those who know the answers.

i'm pretty sure the speakers behind the seats are the sub-woofers. play with the bass control. really fairly strong.

The speakers behind the seats are subwoofers. You probably won't hear so much as feel the bass. Crank up the volume, adjust the bass level up, if you don't "feel" the bass rumbling in your backside there might be something wrong with the connection from the amp to the subs.

There is a thread on this already...the conclusion being that yes the manual says so but no there is no ability or option kit to do so. Bummer...cuz I wanted it too.

Thanks for the answers. I look forward to reading all the posts to get more familiar with the car from experienced owners.

Be careful with those. Last night I made the mistake of having the seat heaters on and the bass thumping my backside, and...

On second though, I think I'd better keep this one to myself.

2 tweeters - top of doors
2 mids - bottom of doors
2 subs - behind each seat

Cell phone mute option can be found on the wire harness. If you ever go with an aftermarket radio, the feature will become available to you. I don't think the current deck, as of yet, supports a phone muting system. It would not be hard for DCX to make one.

Don't slide your seat too close to the subwoofers...either it'll blow your speakers out or it will blow you away
