Gentlemen I need your advice a XF purchase...
Gentlemen/ women, Im in dire need of your sage advice: Im currently in a bit of a pleasant quagmire- I need to choose between a 2004 ssb crossfire with 32,000 miles for $11,500 or a 2005 Aero blue SRT-6 with 68,000 miles for $14,900. both are coupes and both have clean carfax reports. Thank you in advance for any and all thoughts. Josh.
p.s. Im 6'3" and 220 lbs, how tight of a fit will it be? Are there any mods I can do to get more headroom?

Personally, I would buy the SRT-6 for the speed. But it also has a tighter suspension which many find uncomfortable on long commutes.

My choice ended up being a SSB 2004 coupe with 5600 miles. The SRT6 is great, but a little tighter suspension (I use mine daily) and I didn't need any more power. I'm very happy with the normally aspirated couple. It's quick, handles great, has decent hatch space and the interior feels pretty roomy compared to others.
It will be a matter of choice, and expected use. If you are interested in mods, this forum has a ton of info about great mods for both versions.
Good luck.

No doubt you will tremendously enjoy either car as they are both incredible examples of a fine automobile. Everyones tastes are different and it really depends on what you are lookimg for in a car. If you are into exhilerating acceleration and the feel of raw power under you..... then I would suggest the SRT6. Keep in mind, the NA is no slouch either!!!
Good luck with your decision and let us know what you choose.

To the OP there are several member that are as big or bigger than you. The Crossfire is pretty versatile on fitting your personal form as a driver. As the other have posted drive both cars. If you you POWER you will never be completely satisfied with the limited. Limited are amazing cars, however they are not 330 horse power cars either. Drive them both, look them over and take the one home that is your best fit.

First off, welcome to the forum "Big".
I'm am 1 shorter than you, and 5 lbs. lighter (but check back with me after Thanksgiving on that). As PNA mentioned, play around with the seat adjuster and you will probably find the "sweet" spot.
You're pushing the hight limit, at 6'3" but I believe there are a few here on the forum even taller that own coupes.
(Roadsters offer a little more head room, even with the top up).
Choosing between a SRT or a NA car boils down to what's most important to you. If you seldom race the guy next to ya at the traffic lights, you will probably be perfectly satisified with a non-SRT car. On a tight curvy road they're pretty evenly matched.
But if you want to dominate about 95% of the other cars you're likely to come across on any given highway, the SRT should be your choice.
It's really just that simple.
Good Luck

Re: Gentlemen I need your advice a XF purchase...
Thank you all for your kindness and knowledge, i greatly appreciate it. I'll keep ya'll posted as to what I decide on. 1 more question: are these beautiful machines pretty reliable? Also are there any specific things or areas that i should focus on or keep in mind when I go and check them out this week? again, thanks in advance
Re: Gentlemen I need your advice a XF purchase...
These cars are very reliable........at least they have been for me. There are a few known annoyances that are well documented. I suggest you do a search for headlights, cps, seat heaters, rcm, sticky ignition, it's all well worth the read. BTW, if you want a stick it'll have to be an NA. Good luck!
Re: Gentlemen I need your advice a XF purchase...
Yes reliable but when something goes wrong it can get expensive quick. you can find tons of info under "Chrysler maxcare extended warrenty" which BTW is the only one you want. I paid 2600 for 4 years on my 04 and its saved me so far with a stickey key issue- another problem that plagues the car -but to be honest, a non xf trained tech at the shop I used fixed it OK.
Another "another" thing is to find a chrysler dealer that has a trained tech...its not an 100% sure bet but its a good start.
And welcome aboard

SRT6, no question would be my choice and was. The wife and I looked at a beautiful black Crossfire but I knew that supercharged SRT6 would be calling to me sooner or later. By the way just got mine home today, full of slush and road grime but a beauty in my shop. Good luck
