You say'n this along with your picture scares me.

Anybody ever tell you that you look like just like a pissed off Clint Eastwood? BTW I thins you mis-spelt your name. Frank is spelt with a "k", at the end, not a "c".
The picture should scare you. It is the Dirty Harry himself from a scene in "TORINO."

As to the spelling of my name, take it up with Grandma Iva Maude.

In real life I look more like Lurch from the Adams Family.

How goes the hunt??? I can't wait to see what you are going to do with your next XF!! The black one was so beautiful ..... maybe we all shouldn't say that because it might make it hurt more but it was awesome. I remember seeing it at my first Dragon, you guys were parked next to me - I walked out & did a double take ..... I knew I was looking at the XF that Batman would have chosen to drive.

As far as people talking crap about driving ability or vehicle abuse .... well that is obviously someone who has never seen you drive, had never seen your car and has never met you in person. Anyone who knows anything about you & Molly in "real life" would know that isn't the case. I think it is the case of someone being nosy & wanting to goad you into telling the story before you are ready.

People just need to read the title of this thread. Its "Please help me find my next Gray 6 speed Crossfire" not "Let me tell you about the freak thing that happened to my Black Crossfire." We all said it at the Dragon - we are just glad you are ok & on the mend. Talk when you feel like talking about it or don't if you never feel like talking about it. You had a really great attitude about the whole thing (I heard you asked Dan if you could borrow some detail spray!) but I'm sure it was scary as hell! I'm just really proud of the Dragon crew for letting you tell the story instead of jumping out there telling it just so they could be the first with the gossip!!!

Thank you for the kind words about the last car, she did like to show off The hunt is coming along, I think I found one in Chicago, see post directly below this. You are correct, anyone who knew us and saw the car knew it was taken care of better than most folks garage queens and it was a DD. For the most part, people have been nothing but amazing, and as I suspected, and we all joked about in the lodge that night, there have been a few parts requests as well

The story will be told when I have a check in my hand and my aftermarket parts on my next XF

And the pictures are still painful for me to look at, not only was it scary as hell, I think it is the dirtiest the car has EVER been LOL

As of right now, Kit Foxs coupe is tops on the list and I think we are going to take a trip to Chicago this weekend to take a look and maybe bring her home. If anyone around the area wants to meet up for an impromptu GTG, let us know

I know if and when I wreck mine that I'll cry and it isn't near as purty as yours was.................YET. Wish you luck on the hunt.

Take you grandson's comment as a compliment. See the movie.

Now back to our thread feature, still in progress;

John, the car in Springfield was on Ebay but is no longer. It may or may not be sold as didn't watch the bidding. Sorry.
Do you, or anyone, have contact info on it?

I can go see it Friday.

You confused your Grandma Iva wiff your Uncle Fester??????? Do they look THAT much alike? And he mis-spelt your name with a "c" instead of a "k". Geez I bet your family reunions are a real hoot huh? Image if my name was spelt like yours, it would be Mice instead of Mike!!!

OK I have suggested politely that this thread is about BoilerUp and his car search. Not me.

Please, with respect, stay with the topic and stop jacking.

Or would the name "Mice" be appropriate?

Franc, go ahead and hold off for now, because there are 2 nice ones in Chicago and we are headed up there this weekend, and will hopefully need a paper plate for one of them

Definitely, give me a call this week, probably leave Saturday morning early and stay Saturday night in the city, if everything goes according to plan. Going to meet up with Gary and anyone else who would like to join.

As far as modding, I think I have nearly as many parts in my garage as you do, and I only have 1

Suffice it to say that the first few weeks I have the car, it will be altered far more than most members' have been in years

I'm gonna start contacting all the Chi-town locals for a welcome GTG for you and Molly.
What day is best for you to hook up with the locals here ??

I can't WAIT to see what you end up doing to a GREY coupe - you set the bar pretty damned high with "Baby Benz".
