Don't take car to a "normal" oil change company ..... either take it to Chrysler or do it yourself. Requires special oil filter and mobil 1 oil (0-40).
First check oil level with dip stick .... can be tough to see ...... if oil level is OK, don't panic.! If you have owners manual, it will tell you where dipstick is. If you don't, you can download the manual thru the forum. If you take car to Chrysler, it will cost about $120 to 150 for oil change, but make sure they know how to do it, and use the proper oil filter AND oil. Also, there may be a forum member that lives close to you that can help you thru this, in person. Many members would be willing to help you out if they live fairly close to you. Let us know where you live. Good luck .....

here are two links on changing the oil...(search function is your friend)
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-pictures.html
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...made-easy.html
how many wrenches are displaying on the FSS, 1 or 2...... 1 wrench is a Service A and 2 wrenches is a Service B. Here is a link to the service check lists......
https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ce-list-b.html
You can/should do the oil change yourself if you can... good experience and helps you know your car....

Re: servicing my 04 crossfire ~all need some help
My advice is NO ..... unless they are willing to "drain" the oil, use a Mann brand fleece filter that has all the required new "O" rings, and know how to re-install the filter and torque the filter cap properly, then replace the drain plug WITH a new copper washer, then refill with Mobil-1 0-40 synthetic oil. They probably also, need to remove the under engine pan, before draining the oil.
This is not a normal oil change that most people are used to. But once its done properly, the next oil change may not have to be done again for about 7000 miles. After the change the FSS has to be reset to get rid of the -750 on the dial. Instruction also in the owner manual.
Repeating again, if oil level is OK on dipstick .... don't panic
Edit: maybe someone close to you will PM you to try to contact, and set up a meet to help you in the right direction. Just my $.02

Re: servicing my 04 crossfire ~all need some help
Just had mine done at the dealer. Was a good price (only $60). I confirmed parts and oil were indeed proper for the vehicle. BUT- you need to either do the change yourself (like the forum members say) or make sure you go to a dealer or facility you can trust. Have them show you the oil and filter!
As far as the code, I'm not sure what that code meant either however as I read the manual, the service code will usually show miles OR hours of operation. I belive your vehicle is past the hours of operation intended for the oil. I reset mine -- oil was fine -- and still took it to the dealer for the change just in case. My car only had 5600 miles on it too, so I wasn't too concerned about the oil after checking it.
There is a thread on the forum about resetting the reminder. It's also noted in the manual. You'll need to follow it exactly -- so practice the sequence first and then try it. It may take you a few times -- but if you follow it exactly you'll be able to reset it.
I live in Damascus Maryland -- so I'm not too far aware. Not likely to be able to help at this time but in the future -- it might be possible.
Good luck. I love mine.

Re: servicing my 04 crossfire ~all need some help
Yeah. They quoted me 100-120 to do it on the phone but the girl at the check-out / cashiers stand only charged me $60 -- (which obviously is a mistake). Because it was so cheap, I double checked the parts and oil codes and they checked out for the right filter and synthetic oil. I doubt I'll be so luck next time.

It's Century Chrysler in Mt. Airy Maryland. I doubt I'll be as luck next time -- but you never know.
They have a fully trained crossfire mechanic on site -- and I know the dealer has a guy employed who owns one -- so I'm hoping I'll be in good hands with the dealer -- but as you know, there's no guarantee.
If you do come all this way, I'll buy you a beer.

Northern VA. only about 1.5 hrs per google but could be double that depending on DC traffic. Thanks for the offer.

I know it may seem overboard, but if you're going to have them do it and pay the price, you should have some confidence they are doing the right thing.
At some point just pull the trigger and "get er done"..........
