I will find a small magnet that will fit to that hole to get the washer out and post results today. Can't wait
Hey Musclefan. When I did mine, I used a standard pair of tweezers spread open and it snatched that washer out cleanly. Just like the old OPERATION board game we played as kids. You're going to enjoy that increased throttle response!

I agree with Franc. Once you test drive it the SB will not be for sale. I have one on both my cars and love them. I was thinking about up grading to the selectable model on the coupe. Has anyone had both and do you think the upgrade is worth it?

I only have the experience w/ the newer selectable. What I like about it is that my wife and I both drive it, and the race mode is a bit much for her and she prefers the sport modes driveability better.

I put mine in without loosening the bolt for the gas peddal. just make access for your hand to get in there and install by feel. It only goes in one spot and one way so you wont mess it up. Who needs to see what they are doing

As I recall you can connect it either way but only one way will make it work.
If you connect it the opposite way you won't have any throttle response at all.

That is what happened to me originally.
If this happens simply unplug it and switch it around the other way and reconnect it.

Tempted to put this on my list of things to buy for my XF, although I'm worried that it would:
1. void parts of my warranty, or that Chrysler would try to if they found out it was on there.
2. be illegal for stock class autocross racing.
3. at some point fail and leave me either with a throttle stuck wide open or unresponsive. God forbid I would be in stop-and-go traffic.

Feel free to prove me wrong on any of those counts.

It is a small electronic part behind your gaspedal which nobody will ever see unless they are actually looking for it. Even then, it will look like any other electronic crap so they will need to be looking specifically for it. so your warranty would be fine and no, it would not be illegal ofr stock autocross racing. They dont need to know...

About failure.. Let's say it did fail. Simply unplug it and plug the stock wire to the gas pedal like from the factory (5 minutes). Go on your way.

You are over-analyzing this.. Just get one and enjoy.

That could happen. I will let you know if I decide to go for it.

Okay, I have tried the tweezer trick...didn't work. I have tried a magnet...didn't work. Why the hell did they put the washer in there in the first place??

It seems like the center part of the washer is the same size as the piece it sits on. It just won't come out!

It is a bit close but it will come out. Most autopart stores have a telescopic type magnet or pen style, and would work for you. I couldn't find mine and used straight tweezers spread open. You have to go very slow and precise; like the boardgame "OPERATION" we use to play as kids. It worked for me on the first try. I should have become a surgeon right.

Keep the pedal on!! There is an access panel on the side of the console with 2 dinky screws holding it on. The gas pedal cable is right behind that panel, and it takes alot less effort than taking everything apart.

Well, I finally got it out. What a ***** that was! I replaced the washer with one that has a slightly larger opening in the middle

Sprint Booster is now installed and everything tests out fine. I'm not going to go into an extensive review because frankly, it's all been said before.

In green mode, you get noticeably faster acceleration.

In red mode, it's twice as responsive and not for every day driving for sure.

Worth every penny.

Now if only I can figure out why my brakes are squealing when I go in reverse...

I will take mine apart and do a clear DIY just for future refences as soon as I get a chance. Very easy job.

Mine is NOT for everyday use. It actually started to get on my nerves that I cant take off normal most of the time. Damn thing feels like I floor it each time i touch the pedal to take off. I need to learn how to drive again... LOL

About break squaling when in reverse... Time for new pads and get those rotors machined befoere putting new pads on. Or new rotors...

Finally got to take it out for a nice long drive. This is how the car should have accelerated from the factory. As if it wasn't fun enough to drive before, it's that much better!

If it seems to sensitive then you probably want to go with the new adjustable version of the SB.

As for directions of how to install with photos it has already posted here
