Hey RCOMPART, didn't you make the one touch switch for the roadsters too? Or was that somebody else? Do you specialize in aftermarket for this car?

So if you wanted to go to the track, you could fill up the day before and reprogram (add timing) for some better fuel; for example VP100(aka streetblaze 100). Then plug back in afterwards and go back to less expensive pump gas. I certainly don't know how it all works as you do rcompart(Rudy?) but is this possible? Having our own personal portable tuner with 2 custom tunes(specifically for the mods we happen to have) would be great. Just like it's great in our turbo diesel trucks. And they're very affordable; perhaps the millions of trucks out there makes this possible. Can you make one of these for all of us? kidding! Bob

simple fact....your motor runs on "compression"....we have other parameters to consider....and Rudy is working on the "SWITCH" to do that....but won't work like your diesel programming...

"I know it's a different animal" and I do understand for the most part how my diesel works Doc. I am just really pleased about a "SWITCH" in the works that will do what I was looking for and thinking about; however it works. Pump gas to race fuel and back (with a simple switch) is an awesome Mod. Can't wait to spend more money.lol Bob

I'm with you on that point, but I got my butt cleaned by a diesel pickup at Muncie's test and tune...1000lb of torque...I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't experienced it...

I'm not that highly modded but it is amazing how powerful these trucks can be. My trucks name is Atlas, because it can tow the world! lol Bob

If the station is on the Mo. side of the state line, then I'm almost certain it has ETOH in it...something like a 10% blend. There is no more energy in a gallon of 93 octane pure gas than there is in a gallon of 87 octane pure gas...it's just a measure of it's resistance to "knock" (i.e., explode on it's own)...
So, a gallon of 10% ETOH 93 octane fuel will only have 96.5% as much "energy" as a gallon of pure gas (even if it's an 87 octane fuel).

I work in Mo. (Lukes on the Plaza), but live in Ks. ....way out by the NASCAR track....& usually wash them in the driveway.

Alright thanks for explaining the "ETOH" additive. I aswell always washed the car in the drive way at home but know I have to get accustomed to apartment living.

look at soulsearcher's thread on mbworld. he has a sl600 TT that lays down 989 rwhp. he also has a twin tune that is race ready and his custom "valet" tune. this so the car will not go over 30 mph!! no valets doing high speed blasts into the parking garage!!

989 RWHP is some serious **** & git. His odometer should read MILES PER TIRE CHANGE. Re: The twin or dual tune; this is just a very practical thing and makes good sense. I hope the new "switch" for race fuel mod makes it to market and is affordable. I would have limited the "valet" tune to idle only!! With that kind of torque it probably idles at 10mph , lol
