HELP! The Vette's a callin'!
HELP! The Vette's a callin'!
It's like getting rid of a motorcycle. The thing just keeps hounding you until you buy another one.
You see,
after owning an 85 C4 Targa, I've really enjoyed the XF's and the people associated with them for over 2 years now.
Anyways,
I looked at a red 96 C4 vert the other day and darn near sprung wood. What a fantastic car!
So,
I can't have both and I'm really needing you guy's to talk me out of this one. Thanks a mil.

Re: HELP! The Vette's a callin'!
Anyone can have a vette. I see vettes everyday. My buddy just bought a brand new 2010 in June. I love it too, but frankly it really doesn't excite me as much as the XFire does. I can't totally explain why it doesn't, but it doesn't..............
Good luck holding back.

Don't do it....Vettes are everywhere...I wish I kept my Xfire. But if the feeling persists take a look at the Cadillac XLR base or V model...a Vette in a tuxedo. With the economy the way it is, there are quite a few fine speciments out there and are a steal. My mistake was trading in my Xfire, I should have just bought the XLR and kept my beloved Xfire.

Parts for the Vette are plentiful and cheap. Maybe not so with the Crossfire though it is a very reliable car. $12 grand for short block? It's a little scary.

At the risk of sounding repetitive ............don't do it !
As a former vette owner, I still have a fondness for them, but they're ten a penny .......
An independent Mercedes shop will save you money, if you need it, after the warranty runs out, and why would you ever need a 12 grand shortblock when low milage motors are all over the internet for 2 grand.
Vette parts are not 'that' cheap anyway...... Unless it's a C6 Zo6 ................
