Sounds like your baby has been abused

I'd be talking to the general manager first thing in the morning

And you immediately contacted the service manager or dealership customer service agent and pointed these things out :?: :!: :?:

I would tell him the same thing immediately after you smack him upside the head with a baseball bat.

He gave the car to his teenager to do some joy riding. I wouldn't give an inch on this one. Go to Christy's house if you have to.

something to think about:

the real "baseball bat" is a letter. not an e-mail or fone call but a real, paper letter to the g.m. with copies shown and actually sent, to everybody you can think of up the food chain the the germans! wait 2 weeks then send the next one to the next guy up the chain with copies and so on. the jd powers-type consultants have a formula for how many real customers one paper letter represents and it's huge.

the dealer owes you big-time.

Thanks for the compliment. Apparently some think I'm kidding. Tucson is a hangout for retired mobsters. Joe Bonanno just died there a few years ago. Head up to the Foothills and see if some guys who did "that thing of theirs" might want to light a fire under the service manager's ***. For old times sake.

I hate it when dealership flunkies insult my intelligence. And you should too. Screw the letter, call tomorrow and demand to speak to Steve Christy. Stay on hold all day if you have to. Better yet, head in and wait for him to come out and see you. When you bought the car, did they give you the standard BS about "If you ever have a problem Steve Christy wants to know?" Take 'em up on that offer, let 'ole buddy Steve know how you feel. That smiling panzy *** has his mug on every slip of paper that leaves that joint. Wipe that smug smile off his face.

100+ miles and and empty tank. A Five Turd Dealer if ever there was one.

That's exactly what they hope you'll do... go sulk in the corner and they get away with it and will KEEP getting away with it. You're gonna lie down like a sheep and take it? Eee-gads man, sprout some cahones...

They WILL repair the damage to like new.
They WILL compensate your fuel.
They WILL compensate you for joy-riding 130 miles onto your car. Who KNOWS what some bozo was doing to your tranny, your tires, your brakes...

Repeat the above at least 2 or 3 dozen times. Then just drive down there tomorrow like Krusty suggested and camp out on the lot until you've been "satisfied".

They wanna give you crap, go to an art supply store, buy a big piece of foam core and some paint and a brush, and make a sign to set on your car pointing out the damage they did and refuse to fix. THEN go back and camp out at their service dept. entrance.

they offerd to pay for the damage, but it will never be right. If I let them try to fix it i'm afraid of what will be next. I have no reason to belive that this will not be never ending. This is why I probably should cut my losses belive me the manager got a ear full but big deal I still have the ding and now I have to go to another dealer for service and hope they care a little more. Fat chance :? I just can't belive how poor the service on my car has been love the car hate the dealer

OK - Now you have repeated it 2 or 3 dozen times. Repeat it 2 or 3 dozen more times - AND GO TO THE DEALER. PLEASE don't let some *@$^%*# dealer ruin your Crossfire Experience and Joy. Life is too short. I agree - they will repair it to look like new - if they don't - make them do it until you absolutely cannot tell where the ding was. I'm not good at writing letters either, so I would go down there, demand to talk to whoever the "top dog" there is - and get it taken care of. I know others might not agree with this statement - but - remember - you get more results if you go in there and talk in a regular voice - not in a yelling voice. (Maybe that just works for me, I don't know) You might be surprised at the results!!!

:? Good Luck to You :?

David's idea is clever, but should be a last resort.

I don't know who Steve Christy is, but if he is the owner of the dealership, then that is who you want to talk to first. Call first and be very calm, and ask to make an appointment to see him for no more than 10 minutes. Take some pictures of your damage, and have them with you. Show him the mileage written on your service report. when you brought in the car. Tell him what the service manager had to say, and how this is just unacceptable to you.

And most of all, be firm, but nice. Wild people get no respect, and most often, no results. If he or she blows you off, demand the name, address and telephone number of the regional Chrysler representative, and tell him/her that you will contact that person immediately, if this is not corrected to your satisfaction.

One final point. Real mobsters only have to whisper to get things done and scare people to death....

Everyone on this forum will cheer you on, and back you up!!!

Now go get your car fixed!!!!

Awwwww, gee shucks.....

I am just an old country hick from Ohio!

Yea, right.

With a last name like Isabella, and founding and growing my own business for 24 years, you either learn to be tough, or get eaten alive.

How does that saying go? That which does not destroy you, shall make you strong! (A personal favorite!)

Bobby:

One more thing.

If you are one of those people that gets all nervous and tongue tied when subjected to confrontation, here is a tip. Don't worry, my palms still go sweaty, and my mouth dry as the desert sometimes!!!

Type up an Agenda. Just list the items you want to make sure you want said during your meeting. This way you won't be yelling at yourself on your way home for forgetting to say something really important. Make two copies and give one to the owner at the beginning of the meeting. He will be impressed that you are so prepared. It does not have to be fancy or long winded (unlike my posts....). Here is an example:

Agenda Of Meeting With Mr. XXXX On March 30, 2004

1. Service To My Car Was Not Acceptable
A. It took more than one week to replace a small part.
B. The car had 130 more miles on it than when I brought it in.
C. The gas tank was empty when I received it back, but was 1/2 full when delivered to you.
D. The car has body damage while in your possession. Piuctures are enclosed for your reference

2. Responses to my complaints by your service manager
A. We are only human, and can only try to be careful
B.
C.

3. Resolutions of these problems for my satisfaction
A. Damage repaired completely at no cost
B. A free replacement vehicle during these repairs
B. Extended warranty or free maintenance for the wear and tear caused by this negligence.
C. Compensation for the wasted gasoline
D. Compensation for my lost time.

4. Next step if I remain unsatisifed
A. I am formally requesting the name, address, and telephone number of the district, regional, and national sales managers, and customer complaint representatives, so I may contact each of them as necessary.

This should give you a good idea on what to include. Add or delete items as you see fit.

I hope you can tell that **** like this really pisses me off!! There is NO excuse for treating a customer this way!!!!! I was raised, and still believe in, the "treat people the way you would like to be treated" way to do business. It is corny, but it works....

Now, go get 'em tiger!!!!

This is exactly why I keep my car out of the dealers shop as best I can... including being willing to crawl under my car and change my own oil.

How about I tell you I work for a DCX business center? Even though you are not in my area, I can get in contact with the District Manager who is.

Please PM me your VIN number - Full Name, and phone number. I will make sure the DM is aware of the situation, and makes sure you are taken care of.

There is NO reason why they had to put 130 miles on your car.

The dent should be able to be removed paintless. Either way, it is the dealerships responsability to pay for the damages, if they caused them.
