I am really glad we have some D/C people on this forum, both technical and administrative.
I hope it gets resolved for you in the way it should!
But if it doesn't, here is a killer item you should list as 4-B:
As a last resort, I will contact all of the consumer affairs representatives within 100 miles for all newspapers, radio, and TV stations to see what assistance they can offer.
That is absolutely the last thing this dealer is going to want - a bunch of reporters asking pointed questions about horrible service.....

You should at a minium get them to pay for the milage - maybe in free service. Get the dig fixed. Although most of us don't get things like that fixed, it can be fixed. If its done right you'll never know it was there. I had a 95 Honda with several dings in the Door and chips on the hood. When I went to trade it in the wanted to knock $1500. off the trade-in. I paid a Dig & Dent Specialist $600.00 to fix the dings and paint the hood and got the $1500. Looked like new. With today's clear coated paints fixes are basically invisable. The clear coat hides the difference in surface imprefections. To get results you need to speak to the person in charge, Service Manager, mention the fact you intend to write a letter to Chrysler about the service problems. Most "5 Star Dealers" Value the rating. If you don't get what you want call Chrysler, Try to Speak with the District Claims Manager - not customer Service. If that doesn't get results a letter from an Lawer usually does the tirck.
First, find a "Pubic Adjuster." they can provide you with the name of a certified auto Apariser. I had a Van wrecked in 97, had only 270 miles on it. Damage was 17,000 the insurance company wouldn't Total it so it was repaired. The repair was good I couldn't thell it was ever damaged. Had it Appraised for $85.00, the result was $4500 "Diminished Value." which the insurance compnay paid to me. Some states don't allow this. The bottom line is that dig is probably worth about $500 - $1000 in trade-in value.

While searching through the galleries for pics to use on the daily feature thread I came across this thread and a couple ofother old and disturbing threads started by a member named "Bobby" back in 2004.
It appears he had taken his car to the dealer to have the MAF replaced and ended up getting it back with a dented quarter panel but even worse half a tank less gas and 130 miles put on the car by someone else !!!
This is the thread that started the story ..... go to the first post here
followed by the thread: Goodbye to all
and then a follow up thread: I may be back posted 14 weeks later.
And his final post ever made here on the forum: The real Chrysler
which contains a link which is old but not ending on a positive note either.

Type up an Agenda. Just list the items you want to make sure you want said during your meeting. This way you won't be yelling at yourself on your way home for forgetting to say something really important. Make two copies and give one to the owner at the beginning of the meeting. He will be impressed that you are so prepared. It does not have to be fancy or long winded (unlike my posts....). Here is an example:

1. Service To My Car Was Not Acceptable
A. It took more than one week to replace a small part.
B. The car had 130 more miles on it than when I brought it in.
C. The gas tank was empty when I received it back, but was 1/2 full when delivered to you.
D. The car has body damage while in your possession. Piuctures are enclosed for your reference
2. Responses to my complaints by your service manager
A. We are only human, and can only try to be careful

3. Resolutions of these problems for my satisfaction
A. Damage repaired completely at no cost
B. A free replacement vehicle during these repairs
B. Extended warranty or free maintenance for the wear and tear caused by this negligence.
C. Compensation for the wasted gasoline
D. Compensation for my lost time.
4. Next step if I remain unsatisifed
A. I am formally requesting the name, address, and telephone number of the district, regional, and national sales managers, and customer complaint representatives, so I may contact each of them as necessary.
This should give you a good idea on what to include. Add or delete items as you see fit.
I hope you can tell that **** like this really pisses me off!! There is NO excuse for treating a customer this way!!!!! I was raised, and still believe in, the "treat people the way you would like to be treated" way to do business. It is corny, but it works....

Remember - despite how angry you are, getting aggressive when dealing with them won’t help. Remain calm, and levelled. Be assertive with what you want and how you see them solving the problem. Don’t get heated. I’ve found that approaching problems like this in a straight-headed way gets much better results than a tirade would.
