Default Axle Seals

Found a small drop of fluid on the garage floor about a month ago, looked underneath & it appeared the diff had a tiny leak. Took it to the dealership today & they said the axle seals needed to be replaced....parts are ordered.....they said it will be covered by the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty...'07 6 speed with 47,000 miles.

If you have any kind of warranty left I suggest you stick your head under the back end & look for any appearance of wetness on the diff.

Sorry at first read I thought you said 'up your back end'.
My eyes are not as good as they once were.

Well, if you do stick your head up your back end.....some wetness is desirable....nothing worse than a dry hole.

My appointment is today, wonder what this would have cost without the warranty?

Anyone else look / find any wetness on their diff?

They said it would have been about $450 without the warranty.
