I think I may also be in the "Mysterious no start" group now. I basically didn't drive my car for the whole weekend and this morning I got to put my key in the ignition and the car won't turn. So I try again no luck. I opened the hood made sure all the connections were good and went back to start it and magically it did. I have read all the RCM articles so I am going to check on that when I get a chance. It hasn't done this since I bought it but I just had my first one so hopefully this is the RCM easy fix.

I think tighed1 has posted an exchange on RCMs. Send him your old one and he'll send an exchange. He re-enforces some solder points in the RCM. Say's it is what causes the problems. He asks for only $10 to cover costs. Check it out .... if that's the problem. His post shows what to look for, and where to solder, if you can do it yourself. Sorry that I don't know how to do a linky.
He's pretty nice considering he's always BLUE !

I don't think it should be a problem I work with an electrician who solders all day so that isn't a problem to get it fixed at all, I just have to look at it and see if it was just a fluke or if it really needs to be fixed which I am sure it does given that everyone else experiences the same thing as I just did.

Had to use my Crossie to jump my dying Riviera and I cringed throughout the process, but the Crossfire was none the worse for wear :whew:
That having been said, I will invest in one of those portable battery chargers or charger/inflator combos that fit in a briefcase. Saw a cheapo one at O'Reillys before I got my SRT but this one might do the trick. You can blow out your electrical system even on a GOOD jumpstart
Good that you are in Illinois. If you are conservative, there are many folks who can help you out there (AA, FP, LOL). Otherwise, there's AAA just sayin'

It was a stupid mistake but I would rather get the information out there for people to always double check what you are doing as well as don't be on the phone taking your attention away from other things while you are jumping cars lol. Being that I were on the phone and had to hand up my call is why you see this picture because if the wires were faulty in such a case I at least had visible evidence of such...too bad for me this weren't the case.
That being said I am in the market for a new headlight and possibly and SRT bumper if anyone is interested in selling either of these hit me up through PM. I got off lucky with the girl who offered to help me settled on a payment of $500 and it is not going through my insurance.

Glad you learned some things and glad you shared your experience so others can learn too.
