I'm coming home!!!
Re: I'm coming home!!!
Hey everybody,
Sorry for the disappearing act and not getting in touch with everyone sooner! It was a combination of relocation headaches, a super-busy schedule at work, and not very good time management on my part in getting the word out.
With all the crazyness going on, my wife and I decided on using our much needed vacation to relax with family and enjoy each other on our drive across America. I really appreciate everyone's enthusiasm for wanting to organize GTG's along the way, and I hope no one is put off.
That said, we had an AWESOME 6-day drive! We stayed at a B&B in Kansas City, then on to Castle Rock, CO where we stayed with a cousin. We took an entire day and drove through Rocky Mountain NP and spent the night in a cabin in Grand Lake. From there we took Rt. 40, an awesome 2-laner that took us through NW Colorado all the way to Provo, UT where we stayed with more relatives. Next day we spent the entire afternoon in Zion National Park, before spending the night in Vegas. Finally we arrived home on Sunday.
From CO on we took as many 2-lane back roads as we could and stopped at many cool mom & pop restaurants in small towns. We avoided the chain restaurants and hotels whenever we could. The Crossfire is the PERFECT road trip car for 2...comfy on the interstate and nimble on the country roads! The car ran great with no problems after 2 years in storage.

I haven't pulled up the photo's (of your trip) yet, but was just wondering, is your car a 5 or 6 speed?
Re: I'm coming home!!!
Eric,
Congratulations on getting home safe and sound. The drive through the Rocky Mountain NP is pretty cool. I love the Trail Ridge road. Driving at 12000 feet is neat and the scenery is fantastic. Glad you had a fun trip and the Crossfire is still treating you well.......after locking it up for 2 years

Eric,
What a beautiful slideshow of photos !!!
It look as if you had a beautiful trip and saw friends and family along the way.
We certainly had high hopes to meet you here in Illinois but I understand your time was limited.
We missed you but wish you a good future out in California and ask that you continue to keep in contact with all of us here and over at CICCI from time to time.
Thanks for the update
Gary

Re: I'm coming home!!!
Eric and Amy ....... After much anticipation, I think all of us realized that a move from Korea to California, to Decator, and then back to California, would not only be time consuming, but stressful. What with after getting a "new" home in California and furnishing it, on top of getting acquainted and acclimated in your new business digs, and just organizing your family matters in Decator was your main focus. We truly understand the fact that a "peaceful" drive back to California with your wife was in order. My only thought is, was 6 days enough? LOL
Please stay in contact with the forum, and please excuse us, if we over-whelmed you with the thought of at least a half dozen GetTogethers on your way out West. Wouldn't that be a relaxing trip back? In the word of Bill Cosby as Noah .... RIIGHTT !!!
Keep this in mind please ..... We all respect you and understand ......
ALSO ...... when on the forum, you will see much talk and planning about a Crossfires Across America event that will be happening in Colorado, next summer. Maybe you could punch a hole in your calender for that, as the dates unfold. There will be many, many Crossfires coming from all parts of the United States and Canada to be in attendance. You may not want to miss this if possible.
WELCOME HOME !!!!!
