SO you are selling the sti, and want to buy a crossfire? Maybe we could work out a deal. I'm selling my crossfire and looking to buy an evo or sti. What is the specs on your STI, miles color etc. I only have 2500 miles on my crossfire. Not bad for 7 months. Nothing wrong with it, just want to give up the looks for performance, pretty much the opposite of you. Let me know.

I've been thinking about getting out of my Xfire too. Not fast or big enough. I'm thinking the G35 coupe or the FX45 is for me. The interior appointments are so much nicer (my opinion). I love their nav systems. A back seat & sunroof would be nice. Glad to hear that others feel the same way I do. The car just isn't doing it for me. The only thing that keeps me haning on to it is how rare it is. I was thinking about new rims & tires for my Xfire. I'm not an "off the shelf" kind of girl & want to make it my own. I was thinking this might make me fall in love with it more. It would suck to put that money in it & still not love it. I feel I'm really in a dilema and while I ponder, I'm losing money on the thing! Anybody got a crystal ball out there? Magic 8-ball? What to do. What to do.

Sounds like a Hang-up on size ?And power? Don't do the Fx45 you'll hate the cost of fuel. The G35 cpe is sporty but lacks the sex appeal of the XF,How about a Jaguar XK8 cpe you can pick up a nice one in the $30s.low miles.

Goodenough, it seems to me that alot of people feel the same we do, and are just now saying it outloud. I say go for it. Go for the g35 coupe, it has it all. Kind of like a lesser version of a M3. Of course, if you can afford an e46 m3, I highly recommend getting one, was by far the best car I owned, even better than my 99 996 911 C2. And the fx45 doesnt get that bad of fuel mileage, I have a friend with one, and he is getting around 17-18mpg, thats exactly what I get in my XF.

I also have a Dodge Ram 1500. I commute from the beach to the downtown LA high rises, so obviously I'm not that concerned about gas mileage. Good idea about the Jag. I'll check those out.
The M3 is a contender for my husband. He's waiting to check out the 300C SRT. It will be between those two. We sold a BMW 325is to get the Xfire (only because we are allowed 2 cars where we live, bummer!).
With the value of the car dropping, I wonder how many people are going to be upside down soon
It concerns me that so many people are disenchanted with their cars.
The more I read about other people's discontent, It motivates me to move on. Still not certain though. I love being rare.

I would like to see some pics of your STi, my friend is thinking of getting one. It is an amazing car. My friend had a WRX and I drove it quite a few times and it was a very quick car. Can't imagine the speed of the STi. Don't listen to the people ripping on your car and calling it rice. I love my Crossfire but the performance and quality is nowhere close to the Acura RSX Type-S that I had a few years back. It wasn't the fastest car ever but it had potential and was just a blast to drive with the Vtec and all. Enjoy your car and post some pics when u get time.

I can't answer for the rest, but you couldn't pry me out of my Xfire. I love the looks, love the 6 speed, 10,500 trouble free klms. and in time I'll play with the performance. That's my 2 cents.

GoodEnough, I have to agree with Bob G. I also drive a Ram 1500 sport with 190K miles on it and mileage, although a concern, is not abig deal. I'm really happy with the longevity of the Ram and am expecting the same for the Crossfire. I've got just over 15k on her right now and am looking forward to pushing the 150k+ on her in the coming years. It's fun, quick (not blazing), unique, and mine. I must be a strange ones cause I buy cars new, care for them, and drive lots of miles on them. I couldn't ever convince myself to do the leasing thing cause it seems to many people get "upside down" on the deal. Todays value doesn't bother me cause it will be years before they pry my cold dead fingers from my crossfire.

I also drive a Ram 1500 quad-cab 4x4, and I love it. My daily driver is a Wrangler with mucho miles on it and every day is an adventure in driving. But when I really want to give myself a treat, the Crossfire comes out of the barn. I think it would be interesting to gather data to correlate satisfaction with the Crossfire and age of the owner ... I am beginning to suspect that the Crossfire appeals most to us older farts.

Too bad Liam...you could have kept the Crossfire and add a WRI for daily use. How good does it compare with the 2005 Mustang GT anyway? I was thinking of getting a Mustang GT to replace my Honda Civic for my daily use. ( I just have this addiction with speed now ) As for my Crossfire, XFIREX stays in the garage and possibly for 16 years hibernation 'til my baby gets her drivers license
