Turbo Crossfire 2.0
Re: Turbo Crossfire 2.0
Everything electronic in the car has been removed except lights, AC, radio, power windows. I am installing an aftermarket alarm and pwr locks. The key i am still using for the ignition and door. And of course there is the factory Mitsu ecu and wideband that will be installed. I haven't decided what tuning software I want to use yet.

Actually no, Bill Hincher makes several bell housings and an adapter plate like Buschur's for the 4gXX motors. Check it out,

Re: Turbo Crossfire 2.0
I had a 92 TSI AWD with a small 16g and a few other mods before I bought the Crossfire. I had an extra 6 bolt motor for it too until my brother-in-law saw it. I found another one locally for $500 w/50k miles missing turbo and exhaust manifold. I'll pick it up this weekend.

Very cool So you lost some drivetrain weight, planning on putting the rest of the chassis on a diet? I'm a year or so into a 2l build of my own(destroked 2.2 turbo Mopar with a TC Maserati head). I'm not expecting much torque but I'm only asking it to move about a 2100lb FWD chassis. Subscribed

Did you ever actually finish the motor swap and put the 2nd motor back in the talon? Or did you part that out?
Chuck can't wait to see the process turn out.
Re: Turbo Crossfire 2.0
I'd like to drive it on the street for one or two more years. I may just put a big 16G on it for now and put the Holset on it when I switch to a built bottom end.

Re: Turbo Crossfire 2.0
From what I have read the complete 3.2 weighs about 380#'s compared to the 4g @255#'s. There may be a weight savings in the trans too. The TH350 weighs in about 125. So engine and trans weigh about as much as the 3.2.
I don't think there is much else that I can remove besides some of the wiring harness. I don't want to give up sound dampening.
