Re: Turbo Crossfire 2.0
I highly doubt the 230 would hold as much power as the mitsu block and your still stuck with having to pay someone else to tune it. I drove the xfire to a couple of exhaust shops today. Then I came home and ordered some mandrel bent 3 inch pipe and a Moroso spiral flow muffler from Jegs. I'm going to wait until the exhaust is done before I drive it on the street again. The car shifts a little early to second gear but perfect from 2nd to 3rd.
Re: Turbo Crossfire 2.0
Well after another month of neglecting the xfire I'm going to finish my exhaust. I'll finally have a proper place to work on it Monday. I did drive it today after doing some small mods(catch can, cooler thermostat, recirculated BOV, first oil change). At only 10#'s of boost I'm pretty sure it will destroy any limited crossfire. This is going to get very interesting when the boost gets turned up to 20+#'s.

Re: Turbo Crossfire 2.0
My daily is a very modded A4. My sig isn't up to date, but that car is plenty fun for me and thus my cravings to drive the xf are drastically curbed. I only drive it on special occasions, so I would really like a step by step on how and what to strip from my car. It was a gift which holds tremendous sentimental value which is why I keep telling people Im not "just gonna sell it and buy an SRT-6" I don't care if I have to hotwire it to make it start or if its lit up like a christmas tree. I drive it like 3 times a year. Id like to race it.

HDDP used a third-party engine management system with the Mercedes engine and was able to do plenty too (manual + supercharged SRT-6 engine, etc.) but his car is a stripped racecar so he didn't have to worry about wiring as many creature features.

Didn't get everything done but close. Ended up wasting a bunch of time trying to find the right o-ring for the transmission dip stick tube. The intake manifold and timing cover are next in line for paint. The paint is a Fusion color, I'll look for the exact name next time I'm in the store.
