tires/wheels...what are they worth?
tires/wheels...what are they worth?
I have a 2005 Crossfire limited coupe with 24,000 miles on it. My husband is thinking of selling the stock limited wheels and tires...the rear are still legal but worn, the front have good tread. They are factory Continentals. Any ideas what they are worth?
Re: tires/wheels...what are they worth?
IMO, the Contis with 24K on them aren't worth the shipping costs.
If the wheels are curb-rash free, I would start at $125/$150 each. Cheaper if someone buys the set. Wheels only are reasonable to ship due to them being lightweight.

EDIT: Keep in mind, what they are worth, and what it takes to sell them, are two different things.

Re: tires/wheels...what are they worth?
Can't help you with what they would be worth like they are. The cost of new rear tires is anywhere from $400 (low) to $1000 (or higher) depending on brand. To get 24k on the rear tires isn't bad, many wear down at 16 to 17K, depending on driving intensity.
My thought at this point is, if you've recently bought your car, or even have owned it for a while, and it has the original battery, I would consider this also. As you may, or may not know, strange things begin to happen electronically when our batteries begin to die, and at 5 yrs old its pushing it! Just my $.02 worth. Have fun and good luck......
