I suggest you take some reading comprehension classes. Everyone is taking you to task NOT for breaking the law speeding (seriously, on a car forum, who here is going to complain about that?), but for acting like a ****** to other drivers.

Nobody cares that you were speeding ... so using a statement that some other forum member likely also speeds, etc., is pointless and doesn't hit the crux of the matter.

so you have been this badass driver on the streets and follow the rules and regulation on a daily basis right Mr. Awesome?

This is the way I drive, I am not gonna try to get over in between two semis or some other cars at those speeds just because some buttwipe is tailgating me. I am sure you have tailgated in the past many times before, speeded many times before, I am sure you have cut people off before. Now you act like a wise guy behind a keyboard? Seriously, STFU and get back in to the closet you came from.
This is the first time I've been called Mr. Awesome. I generally drive a 80 mph, occasionaly cruise up to the 120's and beyond, but I do so in a respectful fashion. I rarely tailgate, mr perfect I am not, Mr. Awesome maybe What I don't do is brake check, If I have someone tailgating me I do my best to move over and let them continue on there way. No need to stress out about something that really isn't in my control. I don't quite understand your anger towards me. I wasn't the cop that was tailgating you. I'm just telling you that if you keep up with your aggressive behavior your luck will eventually run out.
Life's to short to stress out about things you don't have any control over.

Im not gonna lie, today going to get my dog from the vet I was following the vehicle in front of me, doing 75, no way to get over. and this soccer mom on her cellphone in a durango would slow down, then get about 2 ft away then slow down again. she did this atleast 5 times. The last time I just sick of it and planted middle pedal. She about crapped her pants but she hung up the phone and drove like a normal person the rest of the way

Stepmom is city attorney of a local town. I make a phone call anywhere and Im fine. How do you think I got that 90 in a 65 dropped, lol.
Plus I worked with the local country sheriff for 3 years, so that might help a bit too and my grandmother and grandfather were Atlanta P.D and Fulton County P.D. Respect for law enforcement families is huge around here, so I try not to push my luck but its nice knowing I'll be given some slack

I am well aware of knowing what i did was wrong or illegal. Hence I titled the thread "i got lucky". But the thing gets me here, I am being called idiot for pretty much the same thing most of you have done at one point in your lives.

Simply because a person has been given a favor, does not mean the philanthropist is in debt to forever give to the recipient.

A break is a break, not a free pass to act as if no laws apply to you.

If your stepmom truly gave a rat's @ss about justice, AND your safety, she'd encourage Johnny Law to crack down on you.

It's clear she cares about neither, seeing as "mention of your name" makes the law enforcement retire their ticket books. That implies that they already know your stepmom will have more priority on flexing political muscle, than actually enforcing the laws she selectively enforces on others.

If you truly had respect for her position, you would honor the laws she tries to enforce, not simply use her position as a reason to break them all.

If I was a cop, I'd give you a ticket and DARE her to press the issue.

Did you search before you posted? I swear we had this same thread last week. and the week before... it usually goes something like this:

I was (insert illegal driving activity) and all of a sudden there a was a cop right there. I (insert idiotic thing to do in a car, nevermind in front of a cop) and he didnt leave me alone. So i finally pulled over and he (insert cop action). What a d0uche. But i was lucky i didnt get (insert potential repercussion).

Then people say "You're a d0uche for (illegal driving activity) and (idiotic thing)" and the OP gets offended.

See you next week.

The only thing you're being called an idiot for is brake checking, and not remaining calm and getting out of the way. Basically putting your life and the people's lives around you in danger. I don't think anyone cares that you were doing 80 or 75.

driving at 120mph, you are putting yours and others lives in danger more than your avarage joe "slightly" brake checking somebody. Think about that. So what should I do? call you an idiot for driving at 120mph now? No, I will pass because I have done the same thing so i have no right to call somebody names for something I have personally done before.

I dont abuse it, I get a ticket maybe, maybe once every 3 years. Its not like im out left and right trying to get pulled over, plus being nice to the officer helps tons. Had I been a smartass when I got pulled over for the 43 in a 25, he probably would have written me up. But I was nice and courteous, we talked for a while, about my car, etc. Then he said have a nice day and we parted ways.

Ive only had my step mom help me out twice in 7 years.

The way you phrased it, made it seem you regularly enjoy the privilege...

Thanks for clarifying.

The big difference is I don't drive 120mph when I can't change lanes
BTW my 120 mph isn't in the context as what you have described. I also would like to note that in your OP you never mentioned slightly tapping the brakes. Instead you said you brake checked him.

I think the reason alot of people are jumping on you is because you don't seem to think that anything you did today was wrong.

I went back and re-read it i kinda sounded like I did. I mean, I have an isue with authority, big time but I also like my cheap insurance, lol.

The only times i've needed help was where I got caught in a speed trap (they dropped the speed limit from 55 to 45 on a major highway and didnt put up notice which they have to do here) and the officers were 500ft past the sign (have to be 1000 in ga)

and then 90 in a 65 was just not paying attention, some one stole my phone like 10 minutes before hand and i was super pissed
