I think AllEuro had a very valid point - the Xfire just feels different driving it than the 350Z. Germans (MB, BMW even VW to some extent) just build a different feel into their cars.
For price, uniqueness, outstanding handling and way more than adequate performance you can't go wrong with the Crossfire.

I had the same dilemma. I was looking at 350z's then one day while looking online I was like "hey, I wonder what cars are comparable to the 350". So I typed it in google and the first link i clicked on took me to the crossfire. Sure the replacement parts might get a little harder to find in a few years but if that is a major concern save some cash and buy another xfire, or stock pile parts that you think will get harder to find. (bumpers, fenders, ect) as for the engine parts it is a mercedes engine. So you should be good on that for a while, it would just involve a little more looking and part matching. But in my opinion the Crossfire is a better deal than the 350. As said above, Get the xfire, if you ever loose it then get a dime a dozen 350. Or hopefully by that point you could find a decent 370 used.

Why is an srt-6 out of the question? I got mine for 12,900 with 38,001 on the clock. I had it delivered from the far southeast side of PA to Rochester,NY for only $275. My srt-6 was way cheaper the the 370z and both cars completely OEM, I am faster.

I really wished people would stop generallizing about parts availability for the crossfire. Body parts will eventually become a problem to source. If you go by the 10 year rule, there should be body parts available until 2018--though some items may be difficult to source. I recently bought a couple of very small trim bolts and fasteners for my car without a problem from the chrysler dealer.

But mechanical and electrical parts are exceptionally common and will remain so for quite a long time. The ubiquity of the crossfire powertrain also means that you can likely find what you want at certain junk yards as well.

Thank you all for the replies and help! I went and looked at a 350z last weekend and just could not get over how plain it looks to me now after driving a few crossfires.... So my decision is made. I am now on the crossfire hunt. I have about 12k in cash to work with. Looking for an 04 or 05 limited (gotta have the leather heated seats and love the chrome fins) what kind of miles should i expect in the 10-12k range?

Thanks again everyone!

Coupes are typically $2-3k less than roadsters. Search all the cars for sale sites to get an idea. I just looked at two 2007 roadsters, about 30k miles each, for $17-18k. For $10-12 you're probably looking at a 2004-2005 with 40-50k miles.

You are in the perfect situation, just do not 'fall in love' with a particular car or you will be sorry. Play the field and dealers / private sellers against each other. They all know these cars can be hard to sell, haggle and you will get a hell of a deal. (Don't tell anyone, but I bought a beautiful black coupe about 18 months ago with about 35K on it for under $10K, they are there if you look).

You made the right decision, now go find her

I paid $13,000 for my 05 Limited with 9,000 miles two months ago. It had been stored winters and never been driven in snow or rain and was/is in perfect condition.

12.5 for an SRT6...and charcoal gray....I think I am going to be sick....lol...that is the best steal yet....

as for 350Z....well, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz......that is what it did for me....and the Nizmo.....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ....when put up next to my roadster....you want something unique, and different from the crowd? This is the car...if you are worried about parts, or working on it....and don't take this wrong....but maybe...you need to look at something other than a sports car...because whether Z's, BMW, etc, etc....sports cars do break...and sports cars parts are sometimes hard to find...luckily, most thing that happen to the XF...are documented here on this site, with how to's on how to fix it....so, good luck either way...but, do be picky about your purchase....do your homework so to speak, and you will find a good one...
