I suspect you were rowing that stick at the time.....did you hit 2nd before you hit the curb? That traction control light stuck in the LIT-UP mode?

It was raining and i wasnt fooling around at all. I was in second gear, I just turned the radio on and was getting ready to get on the highway and she gone!

My tires were so bad, i couldnt drive more than 45mph straight on 355, the car's back end would go all over the road. In this case, bald tires did it for me. I wasnt expecting it to happen at all so it was a surprise or else i would have corrected it.

Bald tires
Rain
Short wheelbase
Good low end torque

That is a great formula for disaster.

Sorry to hear it was totaled.

Glad you're OK and that you're replacing it with another Alabaster 6 spd. Good Luck!

These stories of Crossfires being "Totaled" after seemingly mild accidents is scarey! I drive like I'm paranoid.

Just for the record, I bought my 2004 Crossfire about 1.5 years ago with 24K for $11,900 at a used car dealer near my home. It is a white LTD auto with the gray leather interior, so we have similar tastes.

You mean the TC wasn't turned off & you weren't getting on it at all?

If spending $ on tires bugs ya like it does me....gotta relay this.....I've had a set of Achilles ATR Sport 225/40/18s W 400 AA A (all-seasons) on the front for about 1000 miles now & so far love them...!!! So much so I already bought a second set to have around in the basement....$67 each ....& there are Achilles ATR Sport 275/30/19s available for $108 each....same W 400 AA A.....onlinetires.com. The set I just recieved were manufactured the 9th week of 2010.....FRESH!

Sorry to see another one go, and a white one at that, I wish we had white over here in the UK. Never seen one. Good Luck with your new buy.

Gosh Im scared to even get in mine now as finding a good one over here seems to be difficult, I look out for them everytime I travel away as my other half wants one too and still have not found one that hits the mark!!
