80 MPH Speed Limit...
I had a great experience the first week I had the Crossfire. I stopped to pay the toll on the Sawgrass Expressway ( local toll road) At the toll plaza, a State Trooper waved me over to the side. I could not imagine what I had done wrong. To my amazement, he told me he was considering buying one and wanted to know how I liked it. After a big smile and ten minutes of bragging, I asked him for a favor. I wanted to open it up on the straight away after the toll. He said ok but be carefull. He followed me, let me take it to 100, before I calmed down and we parted with him giving me a siren blast. I will never forget this.
I would love this unrestricted speed limit or at least an 80mph one...got a ticket this weekend in the middle of nowhere going 80mph on what i thought was a 70 or 75, but turns out was a BS construction zone, where there was no construction, no cones, no nothing, and of course, fines are doubled in construction zones. If i'd been going 55 mph between LA and vegas in the middle of nowhere like they wanted me to, i'd have been run off the road, even by the truckers!

Hey, on a personnal level, sorry Az!
However, for my money, I'm glad they did not. Then I couldn't make the claim that the crossfire can double any speed limit in the nation. 8)
As to the Montana "safe limits", sorry to bear bad news but, didn't that get repealed (almost immediately)? Like the first person they actually ticketed for driving at an 'unsafe' speed took it to the state supreme court and the limitless limit was deemed too ambiguous, thus unconstitutional. They then had no speed limits for like 5 or 6 months, when regular limits were put in place.

(as soon as I got the Xfire I was planning on a trip to Montana for just that reason, then I started hearing it was repealed).
