Default Service Action #04-005 2004 ZH Crossfire

Just came out today...Service Action #04-005 2004 Some 2004 Crossfires have the upper radiator hose too close to the radiator shroud.I'm assuming over time the hose could get cut.The upper hose should be 10 to 15 mm away from the two plastic bosses that stick out from the radiator shroud. If your hose looks 10 to 15 mm away your ok.If not the fix is easy, just loosen the upper rad hose clamp at rad and rotate the hose until you have good clearance. You might get a notice mailed to your home. This is something you can check yourself and save a trip to the dealer. If it doesn't look right bring it in to the dealer.I will post this in the TSB section.I will post when I hear any more info.

I just checked my Crossfire and the hose was hitting the shroud. The Upper hose has two nicks in it from where it rubbed.

Man, I think its great we have you as a fellow Crossfire driver and a Crossfire Technician. Thanks for keeping an eye out for potential things that can creep up on us. I will check mine tommorrow. They even should have a special section for you (and maybe other Crossfire tech's also) to report late breaking news on anything of importance to us Crossfire owners. I live in a smaller city and worry about the local Chrysler tech's not seeing many Crossfires and mine being the 'ginnea pig'

.........so far zero problems though, and thanks again 8)
