Luggage
I originally posted this in the TPM thread, but thought it was useful here as well:
Canft believe we don't get this in the UK! What are DC up to, no luggage, no TPM's, ’280 for a cover that should have been standard anyway. BMW, and even Renult can make their TPM's work over here - weather doesnft stop theirs working!
Ifm picking up my SSB 6spd on Wednesday (23rd) Ifll talk to the sales rep about this as it was on the literature I picked up. Then again so were the luggage details.
I have seen this in the latest Auto Express (issue 811) regarding official manufacture literature constituting to the agreement of sale: Quote "..The sale and supply of goods to consumers Regulations 2002 extend the sale of Goods Act 1997 to include advertising in any purchase, particularly for consumer guarantees such as warranties. The RAC's legal adviser Alastar Greer said "The statement in the brochure forms part of the contract of purchase of the vehicle. Mr Barnet has got a good argument to hold Ford to the terms of the original contract." Autoexpress June 2004.
In this instance the owner got a massive compensation agreement, 4 yrs free servicing, including parts and labour. Ford must have been worried about something! Any one want to talk about taking the UK luggage and TPM issues further in light of this?

You ate a McDonalds in your car. Yuck. Greasy fingers on the leather steering wheel afterwards!
I went in to Halfords on Sunday looking for a small England sticker for the side window. One of the staff was having a cigaret break outside and said nice car mate. I went in, couldn't see a sticker I wanted, tried to find someone to see if they had any in their stock room and couldn't find anyone to help me. I came out back to the car and there were no less than 5 Halfords staff all sniffing around it.
Had a quick chat with them, they went back to work, I got in to go and someone pulls up right behind me stopping me reversing out of my space! I get out to tell him to move and he said he saw I was about to leave and wanted a quick look before I went so blocked me in! Had to show him in the boot and under the hood before he was finally satisfied and went on his way.
This is one stunning car and in the last 2 days of owning it I've had so much attention. Don't go for the boring TT, RX8 or 350z, the Crossfire stands out in the crowd and that's what I love about it so much.

Now have a look at this:
http://www.chryslercrossfire.co.uk/
This is a UK site for the Crossfire. It has just been updated in the last few days. Click on Crossfire models, Coupe and then on Image Gallery. Then click on Interior and click on the 3rd image along at the bottom. Hmmm, luggage, shown on a UK site. Come on Chrysler, SEND ME MINE!
I have sent a fax to Chrysler customer services in the UK explaining the Freedom magazine from Dec 2003, the web site, and that someone else in the UK has received their luggage. I mentioned the trade descriptions act and requested someone contact me ASAP to let me know when mine will be delivered. I will let you know how I get on. If anyone wants me to e-mail them the fax I sent (in Word format) just PM me your e-mail address. The more people that complain the more likely they are to do something about it.
