When my 07 had 17,000 miles OEM Contis were schredded (slipped belts).....out of alignment from factory + vigorous driving. Emergency replacement of fronts with Cooper Zeon A/S tires.+ free alignment by Chrysler under warranty......after 24,000 more miles..(LOUD....VERY) + tiny steering wheel vibration.

Changed steering stabilizer & had all 4 tires rebalanced.....no improvement.

Bought 2 Achilles ATR A/S W AA A utog 400 (a couple of months ago) from Tireseasy.com for $66 each + shipping.....(they now list them for $93 + shipping)....installed them today for $63.....

Total cost for 2 Tires + shipping + installation at NTB = $228 ($114 each)

All noise & vibration GONE!!!!!!!

The Coopers still had 4-5 32nds left & wore evenly across.....but minor intermittent cupping on outer treads.....you think it needs to be aligned again ? Found some reviews today of the Zeons on line & others reported cupping also.....

Initial impression of the $66 Achilles ATRs is .....nice....(story may change in the next year of course).

It's actually a good looking tire. At least from the tread pattern.

In the last 2 -3 months they've raised the price on the fronts....but the 19s that fit the rear are still only $130......that's about half what OEM rears would cost ya......just put about 50 miles on them & gave them the high speed (270 degree) off ramp test.....seem fine......

Manufactured in "Asia". Probably outsourced from China to a 4th world country with cheap labor. Not sure I'd trust them at 160+ mph. Discount Tire told me cupping could be caused by an out of balance tire (not out of alignment which presents as wear on the inside or outside of the tread, or over-inflation which is wear on the center tread).

Interesting, I just ordered a set of Hankook Ventus Evo's from tirerack and am getting them put on saturday. Should i get an alignment at the same time? I'd assume they would be balancing the tires correctly when putting them on initially, right? (BTW I'm around 50k miles.)

I'll ask my wife to report my fatality to the forum if it results from a tire defect.

If your tire wear looks even across the tread leave it alone.
Mine has 56000 miles and wear is perfectly even across all 4 tires
30,000 on the fronts and 18000 on the rears when I replaced them with the Hankooks.
Steering straight and no pulling either way on the road.

If it aint broke don't fix it

Holy Crap Batman! I paid over $1000 for 4 Goodyear F1 All season tires for my Crossfire at Mr. Tire. I had recently bought my Crossfire and tried driving in snow with the Sominoto summer only tires that came on the car. It was like the tires were bald! The F1's were rated very high in traction on both ice and snow by the Tire Rack, so I paid the big bucks.

If I had known about these "cheap" tires, I would have definitely considered ordering them. The price alone is amazingly low.

When I grabbed these $66 tires from tireseasy.com I also grabbed a closeout at tirerack on a couple of 265/35/19 Blizzacks for $105.....at that time tireseasy wanted $367 each for those....I'm gonna put those on this fall. Tirerack still has these for 105.

I bought front Nankang Ultra Sports for $85.00 apiece shipping included from discount tire direct. $153.00 apiece for the back tires on Ebay. They seem to bite real hard and are pretty quiet. Time will tell how they hold up, but so far I'm more than happy with them. Oh, and they look cool too!!!!

Buy two more and use all four on the car, The steering will be much better other wise the fronts will act like skis and tend to ride up on the snow. When you see the dents after an accident you will wonder if it could have been avoided with a good tire in each corner.

The 265/35/19s are the only ones they are dumping right now....& to my recollection they don't carry an LM-25 that would work for the front.

Just want to clarify that the miles were not on the Hankooks.
Those are the tires I have just bought and had installed.

Yes! Those Blizzaks for $105 were tempting. However, being retired, I don't have to drive my Crossfire when there is snow on the roads. I can always take my wife's Lexus ES330 which has front wheel drive and does OK in the snow.

I got the Goodyear F1 all seasons for the Crossfire in case I took a trip and got caught in an unexpected snowfall and wanted to make it back home with reasonable traction. They seem to be very good on dry, wet, and light snow.

OK, here's the best deal out there (for what appears to be a decent tire);

Onlinetires.com

Achilles ATR Sport All Season 168 mph

225/40/18 W 400 AA A = $ 67.40 each
275/30/19 W 400 AA A = $108.93 each
Shipping to KCK = $ 51.70
--------------------------------
Total = $404.36 VS $913.59 for OEMs from Tirerack = W 360 A A

Call me a fool if you like....but after a couple of hundred miles I'm impressed enough that I went ahead & ordered a couple of more to have on hand as back ups....Onlinetires.com ....delivered price for 2 = $160.

I think this is the company that makes tires for drifters that put out different colors of smoke....
